Divorce Could Cost Tiger Woods $400M

The possible divorce between Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren thanks to the massive infidelity scandal plaguing the golf great could wind up being one of the most costly in history. In a report given exclusively to PopEater by Life & Style magazine, Woods may lose more than $400 million should he divorce his wife. Got that? $400+ million. U.S. Dollars! Details After the Jump!

The couple has reportedly been attending marital counseling in order to stave off a divorce, but their relationship is still quite rocky. Life & Style reports that Nordegren is intent on getting full custody of the couple's two children, which would also give her leverage when it comes to the couple's assets.

Celebrity divorce lawyer Raoul Felder tells the magazine that normally "the judge rules that [the mother] can go wherever she likes as long as it doesn't cut the father out of the children's life and make visitation difficult for him ... In Tiger's case, a judge will probably tell him that since he can afford his own plane, he can travel wherever he needs to."

Felder also says Elin should even be able to travel outside of the U.S. -- perhaps to her homeland of Sweden -- without getting approval from Tiger first, which is normal following a divorce.

Should the couple divorce, Tiger's massive fortune will also be up for joint custody in a sense. With his marriage, reputation and earning power all seemingly shot -- plus his golf career on an indefinite hiatus -- here's how Tiger's bankroll breaks down according to Life & Style's tally:

I don't believe Elin has the right to take American born children with American father out of the country without his consent, and I don't think he will allow it.

This article is so speculative and nonfactual it makes me laugh. There is a prenup. No way the prenup will allow her to get 1/2 of everything. She'll be taken care of to keep her mouth shut and will receive hefty child-support. She didn't earn the money and in no way is entitled to half and I don't agree at all with Tiger's actions.

YOu are correct.The author is not knowledgeable about divorces. She will only get, child support, alimony, and a % of his earning for the time period that they were married. Adultery is not a crime neither in Florida or California, therfore punishment is not an option.

Elin should only get 5 married years worth of Tiger's money.Calucated from the time of marriage until now!!She could have that amount. She didnt earned it.She doen't deserve anymore that the time applied. She is not Juanita Jordan who invested 17yrs/sand got 10m for each yr.of the marriage. Maybe the same deal/10m for 5yrs of married. Tiger needs to seek sex and mental therapy. He married too soon, was not ready!!

I DON'T HAVE A DEGREE!! BUT I DO HAVE 32 YEARS OF MARRIAGE TO THE SAME MAN,LOL! He wanted us get married before he went to the Navy 6 yrs of duty in 1971. I wasn't ready straight out of high school. I waited for him. When I was ready in 1976 when married 09/1977 the last year of service for him. It was easy but I made it OK!! I believe in myself/family and hope for Tiger will get himself the help he needs!!

the article is wrong..Gotoraid already dropped him, Gillette dropped him, and the only one who will stand behind him is Nike. Also, they never mention his pre-nup. Just something to write about. innocent of any wrong doing? You can best believe that she was not a saint,when THE TIGER WAS AWAY SHE PLAYED AND PLAYED HERSELF!! A weekend now and then away with the girls.RIGHT!! Not to mention the car accident,WHY?? Did she break out both back side windows if he was trapped in the front seat???
