Eerie Brittany Murphy Film Poster Pulled

DVD rental chain Redbox is frantically trying to remove a poster for Brittany Murphy's new straight-to-DVD movie, 'Deadline,' because it depicts the late star lifeless in a bathtub. Murphy passed out in her bathroom and later died Dec. 20 after suffering cardiac arrest. Autopsy results are pending.

The grim poster had been placed at kiosks around the country early this month. The company started removing the artwork following the death of the 32-year-old actress and expects the job to be done by New Year's Day.

"To my knowledge, it was art that we had scheduled at all of our locations," a spokeswoman for Redbox said, according to Reuters.

In 'Deadline,' Murphy plays a screenwriter in a haunted house who stumbles upon a camera filled with horrific secrets. Thora Birch also co-stars in the First Look Studios release.

Meanwhile, there is a new poster up on the Redbox page for the film.

OH-PLEASE!!The movie is called DEAD LINE,NOT DIED THIS WEEK!!!She had cardiac arrest w/ no film crew stalking her.If know one had been told that was her in the tube they would'nt even no.They would have looked at the scene for a second,read who stared in the movie,& went in & seen the movie.It was in the bathroom okay!!What if had died on the toilet,would they stll change the poster?

well you obviously missed the irony that had to do with her death and the controversal poster...

you see the irony is the fact that she's dead and she was found in a bathroom setting.

The poster depicts her apparently dead in a bathtub... hence the decision to remove the posters.

They did not want to remove the posters because they had forseen her dying in this fashion...

They want to remove the posters BECAUSE she died in this manner...

Eerie how some of these actors who played in creepy haunted movies end up dead.....creeps me the hell out.....sometimes unexplained stuff even happens on the sets of these movies.....

Sometimes life imitates Art. I think that it is admirable of Redbox to consider her, honoring and respecting her family in this way. The Bible says that "life and death is in the power of the tongue." I felt led to pray for Brittany months before her death. She had been heavy on my heart and when I think about how it happened so fast and just how short this life is, I realize how in the end, the only thing that matters is the love you have shown to others, and the mercy and grace that you have extended to your fellow man. I believe that God controls every breath we take and that all things will turn out good for those who love Him.

What would Brittany want? I believe she would want it to remain. Just my opinion but I say leave it alone. Let it be! Brittany made me proud of her; she was fantastic in all her movies. God bless you Brittany, I hope & pray you are in Heaven with Jesus who is God and the angels! We love you!!!

Redbox is certainly doing the right thing by removing the image. It is a sad irony, but would be disrespectful - and quite frankly, creepy - to leave the posters up.

To further add onto the eerie irony of the situation as a whole, her character in the movie 'Girl Interrupted' also dies in the bathroom..found hanged near the tub.

Saw Avatar with the boys few nights ago, it was more than i expected, awesome plot and story line with many hidden messages, i totally got it and "the people" were alluring, sexy and totally not what i expected! sad to say but when we attacked their forest, i cried, and no im not a tree hugger...This film is a must see!

If you never heard of her before now then how do you know if she was a bad actress?
