Duggar Family Spends Holidays in Hospital

Michelle Duggar, the star of the TLC reality show '18 Kids and Counting', gave birth to her 19th child in an emergency C-section earlier this month. Now the super-sized clan is temporarily relocating 200 miles from home, where the baby is still in intensive care, PEOPLE reports.

"Josie is 2-weeks-old today," father Jim Bob Duggar says. "We continue to take things day by day – she remains in the NICU where doctors are tracking her progress."

Michelle suffered from preeclampsia, a condition during pregnancy that causes high blood pressure. The couple's 19th child Josie was born prematurely, weighing only 1 lb., 6 oz.

"Our entire family is planning to relocate to Little Rock temporarily to be close to Josie," Jim Bob says. "In the meantime, we're grateful that a close friend in Little Rock has opened up their home to us for the holidays."

What if the Duggars are raising their children as evangelicals or Christians? As a Christian evangelical I ask you this question. If I live my life in Christian faith and at death I am wrong what have I lost? If you live a life without Christ and you are wrong what do you have after death? Christ spoke more of hell than he did heaven.I can assure you the life lived in Christ is more rewarding than without Him. The Duggars have found this to be true.

poor CEECEE she really thinks kids with responsibility are put upon, more kids with a sense of responsibility and an understanding of the needs of others and wed be living in a better world. as for not being self sufficient working out a lucrative contract with tlc is not exacvtly being on the public dole.

CEECEE the girls cant wear pants??? oh horror of horrors jee whiz these maniacs are putting the children in emotional peril!!!! they should have the kids taken from them immidiatley!

I cannot stand the Duggars. Especially Michelle. Is she trying to start her own country. She said "when God" wants her to stop she will. Is she an ignorant woman or what. God is not procreating here. Michelle and Jim Bob are. I am shocked her uterus and bladder haven't fallen out yet. And, the rest of her children are like robots. They have no clue as to what it is like in the "real world".

She should have had tubal ligation (also known as having your tubes cut and tied) and he should have had a vasectomy done 10 kids ago. TLC/Discovery Networks is paying them to do this crap, plain and simple. They need a law passed declaring shows like the Duggars and John and Kate Plus Eight child abuse so they can't be produced/aired anymore.

Nineteen children vying for Mom and Dads time is unhealthy, and dysfunctional. Impossible to have one on one time with each child. It is not the job of the older kids to be responsible for their mothers children, and what ever record she is trying to beat. Very sad, and I think God has sent them a sign.

My problem with them having 19 children is that they don't parent their children. Its impossible. The older kids parent the younger ones. They don't even know where ALL of their kids are or what they are doing most of the time. And, I agree, without TLC, they wouldn't be able to take of these children financially. I love the way someone says they don't have any debt, pay for everything with cash...Geez..how do you know all their financial info??

This family is amazing! God has blessed them with 19 beautiful children, and if anyone deserves such a wonderful family it is this one. God will watch over them and will hold this family together during this stressful time. This family has everything and more to provide and care for every single one of their children. They have raised bery polite and considerate children that will also be and already are great parents!!!
