Kate Gosselin: Too Hot For TV?

Kate Gosselin filmed a pilot for a new talk show, but high-level executives reportedly shelved the project, deciding the TV mom is too controversial for their airwaves. A source told RadarOnline.com that the show, with co-hosts Paula Deen, Lee Woodruff and Rene Syler, is still being shopped around to other buyers but it doesn't stand much of a chance.

The Momlogic pilot has been described as 'The View' for working moms, tackling issues like teen pregnancy along with lighter gabbing. Apparently, Gosselin was not only too edgy for the executives' taste, she was simply "not ready" for a full-time hosting job.

Food Network star Paula Deen was the intended star of the project, and exces were concerned that Gosselin's year in the tabloid's would upset the balance. "There was a lot of arguing," the source told RadarOnline.

Fear not - Gosselin will be back on your TV sets before long. Though TLC has yet to finalize the concept, the cable network has committed to a new show starring Gosselin in the spring.

old John needs to get a place of his own to bring those kids instead of Kate leaving all the time ..most divorced couples do it this way - as a matter of fact, he HAS to have a place of his own in my state in order to see the kids period...guess the courts in Pa don't see it that way.

Thank God! This woman has received waaaaaay too much attention as it is. She is not TV material. I can't stand the way she says "um" before she speaks.

At least the exec's knew enough to shelf the Paula Deen/Khate Gosselin whatever it was. Who would waste a minute watching her? And Paula Deen, I always enjoyed your show but that would end if you did anything with that self-centered overbearing (I love myself) Khate Gosselin. All she talks about is what a wonderful mother she is and yet she is NEVER around to take care of them. First it was Jon that did it, then it was Nannys and maids, whatever. She makes me sick. Its too bad Jon had to go off the deep end. He was a great Father and I hope he finds himself and gets back into that roll. BUT TLC, PLEASE STOP SHOVING KHATE GOSSELIN DOWN OUR THROAT.

Lets see the show that was shelved was made up of working moms. Just what does Kate know about being a working mom. Everyone but her has taken care of the kids, you can tell by the way she reacts to them when she has to do things with them. The only reason why she wants back on TV is so she can get more babysitters. Before anyone says it yes Jon is just as bad,but as far as I know he's not tring to get back on TV. I feel so sorry for the kids.

But if Kate doesn't get a real job soon, she will go the way of all the other semi-celebrities and pose nude for a magazine "in order to help others".

Please no more of Kate and Jon. They both had their 15 minutes of fame. When I see them I would rather have my head stapled to the carpeting. I wouldn't watch them again if it was the only tv channel in the world. Forget them and have them get a real life.

The original core of the show I believe was to show a married couple raising 8 kids and how they did it. That has all been lost. The couple is seeking divorce and mom and dad are getting all of the attention and making money at it, while not taking care of the children themselves. The children will probably each require psychiatric help when they get older. It is obvious that the whole reason for the show was to make a quick million for mom and dad.

If you are reading all this hate mail , here's a love letter for you. I am also the mother of a large brood and understand all the stress of raising a lot of kids. I think with all the pressure (a lot of it from the paparazzi and the public), you are doing a great job. These so called Moms out here with their 1 or 2 kids haven't got a clue . SO here's too you Kate. I'd love to see you on another talk show! And on Dancing with the stars. OK Ladies, you may now bring on the hate mail aimed at me. Kate and I can take it because you ain't worth the time to read it!

Lanette, are you on TV whining because you can't pay your bills, no more nice vacations for the kids, you can't make ends meet yet you made more money in one year than alot of us single moms with three kids earn in four or more years. Yet I can make ends meet. I color my hair with coloring from Walmart, I tan in the summer time, I jog when possible and work out in my home with exercise equipment I bought at rummage sales, I am trying to save to try to buy a house that is in the 140,000 area so my house payments are the same as my rent, my kids love rummage sale clothes,and I can't afford organic food. I know other families that made ends meet with a large family. I came from a family of seven kids and we definitely didn't grow up like the gosselin kids. My mo did it alone without a nanny and we knew how to go without and make sacrifices. Kate and her kids aren't doing that. So there is no respect from me for that family.

Please Kate, in my very humble opinion, (I repeat, only my opinion!), take a deep breath and take care of what maybe a very difficult time ahead for your little ones--and you, with the looming divorce. I'm not sure this particular new show will end up being everything you would hope it might be. Perhaps, there is another avenue waiting--but maybe not this one--from what I read, I am not convinced this is the, (as the article claimed), the "working womans' VIEW". The most important job--and I know you know this--is to be with your children and to take care of the one and ONLY Mom they will ever have! All I can say is keep everything classy and perhaps within the your immediate family.

Why does having far too many children to support financially make Kate Gosselin qualified to be a talk-show host? Or, for that matter, why would that qualify her for ANY job. She has no information that is valuable to the American public. She had more children than she could support and miraculously found a way via TV to support her family. The idea of the John and Kate Plus 8 has always astounded me that anyone would even be interested in such a show. Women want to watch TV that includes information that is of value to them. Kate has nothing to offer and I am sick of hearing about her. Every time I read an article about her I keep hoping that it will finally say that she is going away for good - no more TV shows. She needs to get back to the business of raising her family,and working at a real job like the rest of us women. Kate made a conscious decison to have her family at a number that would overtax the resources of our nation. Does anyone remember "0 population growth" as a means to protect and extend our natural resources. It is still a good idea and an idea which will ensure our own children have the natural resources needed for their lives. TLC - get rid of Kate or I will quit watching any program on your channel!

So as husband and father I must say. . . THAT WOMAN IS VIAL! AS IS JON! Talk show, lol. I wouldn't let her talk to a barn full of animals. 8 kids via in-vitro fertilization is hardly a way to call yourself talk show material. The only job she should have is test-tube spokes woman. Oh wait she is to nasty to do that. Jon is useless and a bad father.
