Charlie Sheen's Wife Obtains Restraining Order
Brooke Mueller has obtained a restraining order against her husband, sitcom star
Charlie Sheen, as a result of a violent domestic dispute that landed Sheen in jail for hours on Christmas Day.
RadarOnline reports that the protection order was granted by the same judge who heard Sheen's case and allowed the actor's release from jail Friday night.
Judge James Boyd has ordered Sheen to cease all contact with his wife until the legal case is resolved. The order is mandatory in domestic violence cases in Colorado.
Sources say Sheen flew from Aspen - where the altercation occurred - to his home in Los Angeles hours after his release from police custody. Mueller has remained in Aspen, but Sheen's manager Mark Burg claims the pair does not intend to split.
"I have spoken to all parties concerned. There are no plans for divorce," Burg told
RadarOnline. "They are both deeply upset about what happened and are trying to work things out amicably. They both want to get away from all the sensationalism surrounding what happened and quietly resolve things."

Police responded to a 911 call regarding a report of domestic violence at 8:34 am on Christmas morning. An ambulance was called to the house. Neither Sheen nor the victim, who was not officially named by police, were transported to the hospital. Sheen, 44, was taken into custody on suspicion of second-degree assault and menacing, both felonies, along with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, Aspen police spokeswoman Stephanie Dasaro told the AP.
Colorado attorney Richard Cummins will be representing Sheen in his case and confirms that a court date has been set for Feb. 8. He tells the AP, "That may be to determine whether a case goes forward or not."
Cummins adds, "I think at the end of the day it will be much ado about nothing. I don't think there's any criminality about what went on."
Sheen's publicist Stan Rosenfield says, "It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion."
TMZ initially reported that Mueller called 911 claiming Sheen assaulted her, but that Sheen told law enforcement that Brooke was the aggressor and he was just fending her off.
Brooke Mueller Sheen gave birth to the couple's first children, twin boys, in March. They married in May 2008 following Sheen's bitter divorce from Denise Richards.
Sheen's screen credits include "Platoon," "Wall Street" and the "Hot Shots!" movies. He nearly died of a drug overdose in 1998 but received court-ordered rehabilitation.

And the straight majority is concerned that gay marriage is going to somehow soil the institution of marriage?

Excuse me but an earlier article stated they were BOTH drunk at the time the cops arrived. So why was he also drunk at this hour and who the heck allowed him on an airplane while intoxicated? Oh I forgot-the privledges of the rich and famous exceed the safety guidelines on the FAA!

It's a shame a man is made out to be a criminal nowadays for trying to defend himself against a crazy drunken goldigger. Why would ant man want to get married anymore? Just pay for sex as you get it. That would be a lot cheaper and safer.

Christmas day, and the twins' first Christmas, sorry, but this couple has more problems than they're letting on, and perhaps separating is best, until counseling and other arrangements can be in place, that there should be no way they should be living together, especially for the well being of their children.
Charlie Sheen needs to stay single for now, learn what is important in his life, and not go with dominant women that are out for their own greed!
Thinking of the children would be the most unselfish thing a parent can do, and not subject them to domestic violent actions ever, nor pit them against each other as pawns in this relationship, they don't deserve this! What a great way to remember Christmas Day, daddy's in jail and Mommy's fighting him!!!

I did learn by two films that critics rated that the critics in my opinion were wrong! The first, critics did put down "American Graffiti" and to me, was hellarious, and then they gave top ratings to "Good Shepherd" which was the most boring 3 hour moving I had ever witnessed, that the most excitement was almost stepping on a rat as upon descending the theater! Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon were so utterly boring, and exhibited NO TALENT WHAT-SO-EVER!!!!
I don't go see a movie when the critics rate them, as most times, and from experience, it's due to the producer that they want the movie to get top billing, not because it has any merit to it! Thought "Gangs of New York," would've been the top movie for that year's awards, but no, it was because another known producer was in the running that they weren't given top ratings.

Hey Kathryn - I'm 45. AND I don't need to listen to crap from someone who doesn't even take the time to spell check. Brooke deserves EVERYTHING she gets. She assisted Charlie in his 'bitter divorce' from Denise, and Denise warned the whole world, for years, of Charlie's violent propensities. Screw Brooke and the horse she rode in on. She was warned and, obviously for the money, chose to look the other way. May she turn the other cheek so Charlie can slap it harder. Sorry, I have no pity for women who are obviously in it 'for the money'. There's another name for them, too...........

(Sigh) Charlie Sheen and I have shared some interesting conversations specifically regarding the use of marijuana vs. alcohol --where we have both appeared on various talk shows and entertainment programs. Reflecting on the personal conversations I've had with Charlie--Check out the recent research that I've encountered with actual facts and statistics.
Studies find alcohol use contributes to aggressive behavior and acts of violence, whereas marijuana use reduces the likelihood of violent behavior.
Alcohol is clearly the drug with the most evidence to support a direct intoxication-violence relationship.
Cannabis reduces likelihood of violence during intoxication…

Alcohol use is highly associated with violent crime, whereas marijuana use is not.
About 3 million violent crimes occur each year in which victims perceive the offender to have been drinking at the time of the offense.
Two-thirds of victims who suffered violence by an intimate (a current or former spouse, boyfriend, or girlfriend) reported that alcohol had been a factor.
Among spouse victims, 3 out of 4 incidents were reported to have involved an offender who had been drinking.

I have to admit that I too am curious about how she could be drunk at 8:30 am. Also, if she hit him first, I believe he has the right to defend himself. We automatically assume her story is true because he has been accused of that before. It should not be that way. In the end, she will just be after his money and child support. And, by the way, I do not think the woman should automatically get the children. I want to know why this woman was drunk at 8:30 am! If she is a crappy mother, Charlie should get the children. Forget the women always getting the children. Men really need to stand up and fight for their rights!
