Brooke Mueller Claimed Charlie Sheen Threatened Her with Knife

Authorities say actor Charlie Sheen is accused of using a weapon in an alleged case of domestic violence in Aspen. His wife Brooke Mueller told cops Sheen threatened her with a knife, TMZ reports. Sheen spent part of Christmas Day in jail after being arrested at a home in the Colorado ski resort town. Sheen hasn't been charged and was released Friday after posting an $8,500 bond. Prosecutors will determine whether to file charges.

Sheen also was arrested on investigation of second-degree assault, a felony, and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

Sheen's lawyer didn't return a telephone call Sunday seeking comment.

Mueller obtained a restraining order against her husband as a result of a violent domestic dispute. RadarOnline reports that the protection order was granted by the same judge who heard Sheen's case and allowed the actor's release from jail Friday night.

Sources also claim that the two are reportedly planning to enter marriage counseling in order to salvage their relationship. A PEOPLE source says that a booze-fueled holiday fight led to Sheen's arrest, and that both he and Mueller have a long history of alcohol abuse.

The actor's manager and close friend Mark Burg told RadarOnline.com exclusively, "I have spoken to all parties concerned. There are no plans for divorce."

"They are both deeply upset about what happened and are trying to work things out amicably. They both want to get away from all the sensationalism surrounding what happened and quietly resolve things."

In the second sentence she is referred to as his wife. Where did you get girlfriend from? In the end, she knew what she was marrying. Sure he shouldn't be in a relationship until he grows up, but he wasn't exactly an unknown quantity either. Both of them have some issues.

Krystina, evidently you can't read - Nowhere does it reference his girlfriend. Furthermore, where do you get off placing all blame on him. She was DRUNK when she made the 911 call - it was 8:00 AM - no mention has been made of his being drunk, only her, and she wanted to recant her story about his shoving her, now she says he had a knife...sounds like alcohol brain damage to me. She doesn't know WTF happened. I'm not saying he is blameless, but SHE definitely isn't.
