Divorce 'Definitely' Possible For Charlie Sheen

After a violent Christmas day encounter in Aspen, Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller have been spending time apart. Sources now tell PEOPLE that the separation could be permanent. "Brooke and Charlie still love each other, but they are very different," says the source. "[They] will make their best effort at counseling but divorce is definitely a possibility."

On Christmas morning, Sheen was taken into police custody on suspicion of assaulting his wife. The actor hasn't been charged and was released Friday after posting an $8,500 bond. Prosecutors will determine whether to file charges.

Mueller and Sheen had their first children together -- twin boys Bob and Max -- earlier this year. The source tells PEOPLE, "For the good of the children they definitely want to see if counseling will help before anything further is decided."

The source claims that talk of a divorce was the catalyst that led to the altercation. "Brooke asked Charlie for a separation and divorce. This caused his temper to flair resulting in the incident that landed him in jail."

Mueller obtained a restraining order against her husband as a result of the violent domestic dispute. RadarOnline reports that the protection order was granted by the same judge who heard Sheen's case and allowed the actor's release from jail Friday night.

The reason Charlie will get away with this is because of who he is...

People should treat him as being a wife abuser and a women abuser he should not be getting a slap in the wrist for this.

He's did get off before so he most likely will... I think he's worse than Tiger woods but then we don't expect much from Charlie...

I can take a man who is a womanizer but a man who useses treats agaisnt a women to control a woman.No violence no way.

Women are not objects to be hit or to be belittled women are stronge and can stand up to violence... They can show a man that they are equal and have substance...and yes can be loved cared for and cherished...deamand nothing less...
That is why she needs to leave Charlie... and no other woman should Marry Mr. Sheen ever again...

As I went through the list of 74 personalities who died in 2009, a 75th was missing.

Sadly, he died the same day Farrah and Michael Jackson did, talk about getting lost in the shuffle.

Sky Saxon, lead singer of the 60's Flower Power rock group, The Seeds, still very popular, including overseas, died June 25 after several days in ICU in a hospital in Austin, Texas.

The Seeds had a big hit with "Pushing Too Hard" and "Try To Understand," among others. He was a talented singer and was always friendly to his many fans.

His name and photo should be added to your list. He had a couple of websites including on he had with his wife Sabrina.

He deserves to be remembered.
