Report: Lack of 'Chemistry' Sends Swift and Lautner to Splitsville

The tale of two Taylors apparently has an unhappy ending. Country darling Taylor Swift and 'New Moon' hunk-a-meat Taylor Lautner have broken up after a few months of dating, according to an UsMagazine.com report.

"It wasn't really developing into anything, and wasn't going to, so they decided they were better as friends," a source close to Swift, 20, told the magazine. "There was no chemistry, and it felt contrived."

To make it all the more heartbreaking, "He liked her more than she liked him," said the source of Lautner, 17. "He went everywhere he could to see her, but she didn't travel much to see him."

The pair met in late summer on the set of the movie 'Valentine's Day' -- which they both appear in, and reportedly started dating soon thereafter. They've been spotted on several teen-appropriate dates (grabbing some frozen yogurt with Swift's mom) and even joked about their relationship in separate monologues on 'Saturday Night Live.'

According to the source, they broke up in mid-December but "plan to stay friends." They'll have to, since both will likely be out promoting 'Valentine's Day' ahead of it February release.

Lack of "chemistry"? Yeah, that's 'cause Taylor Swift is a girl and not a guy. Taylor L. is screamingly GAY. And, Swifty is just an awful rodent faced girl. This is like one of those deals where Rock Hudson had "girlfriends" back in the day when he was a closet queen.

First off...they were never really dating. They made a movie and the media made a romance out of it by using stills from the movie. What better way to publicize a movie than to generate a romance between the stars. Another thing...Ms. Swift is 20, very big boned and can't really carry a tune whereas Mr. Lautner is only l7. If their ages were the other way around you'd probably be hearing talk of maybe "statutory rape." Give it five years then see if people remember who Swift is. She better be putting her money in the bank.

You have to be a very shallow person if you have an opinion on who this make believe country singer is dating. She don't give a s**t about what you think. I feel every one will have there one likes and dis-likes. I don't blame any one in this, if things did n't work out, sooner is better than later. Good Taylor you made a decision.

Any way he is younger then Taylor and some time later he will understand may even feel better of.

Its good that she issued a statement; Finally, I can't get a thing why people go public with there relationships? So, tabloids can make up stories and make money. Do they pay the people in the story?
