'24' Actress Hospitalized After Carjacking

Carly Pope was rushed to a Vancouver hospital yesterday after a car thief drove her BMW into a wall - with the actress still inside. TMZ reports that Pope's brother was driving the vehicle when a man jumped onto the hood. When the brother left the car to investigate, the carjacker jumped into the driver's seat.

Pope first became known with a starring role in the WB comedy 'Popular.' She has since appeared in multiple-episode arcs on '24,' 'Californication' and 'Dirt.'

Law enforcement officials tell TMZ that the suspect hit three other cars before finally crashing into a building. The actress, the suspect and a pedestrian were taken to a hospital and treated for their injuries. Pope was released from the hospital the same day, and the suspect was taken into custody. Criminal charges are pending.

I know nothing about the guy,but it seems to me that having to lose 75 lbs to get on the list for a kidney transplant would be a good motivator to lose weight. If that wouldn't convince you to go on a diet,nothing will.
