The outspoken cast of MTV's 'Jersey Shore' has angered many, including various one-time sponsors of the reality show. After Dell, American Family Insurance and Domino's Pizza withdrew their ads from 'Jersey Shore' in protest of content some find offensive to Italian-Americans, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi shared her opinion on the sponsors' decision: "F--k you!" Snooki told Steppin' Out magazine. "If you don't want to watch, don't watch. Just shut the hell up! I'm serious...F--k you!"
Now Domino's Pizza has made the unusual choice to respond. "We have no issue with MTV or the programming it airs," a Domino's spokesperson told E! "Just like viewers have a choice of what they want to watch, advertisers have a choice on what shows they want to advertise."
The rep's comments on Snooki herself were slightly less diplomatic. "Our first response was, 'What a classy young lady-her parents must be so proud.' There's no need to get into a war with this young girl, because tick tock, her 15 minutes are almost up."
This is hardly the first criticism earned by 'Jersey Shore.' Recently, the New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus sent a letter to the president of Viacom, MTV's parent company, asking that the show be immediately taken off the air. Caucus chairman Joseph Vitale believes the show promotes derogatory ethnic stereotypes and is "wildly offensive."

The reality show focuses on eight, mostly Italian-American 20-somethings living together at a summer shore house. The stars are mostly Italian-Americans. Italian-American civic groups join the New Jersey lawmakers in outrage, claiming the show perpetuates negative stereotypes.
The New Jersey beach town that's home to 'Jersey Shore' is also trying to distance itself from the controversy surrounding the show. In a statement Monday, the Borough of Seaside Heights says it "did not solicit, promote or participate in the filming" of the show. It did issue a permit allowing the production company to film, but says those permits are issued routinely.
On Wednesday, a Viacom spokesman referred a request for comment to an MTV spokesperson, who did not immediately respond. MTV has said its intention is not to stereotype or offend.
people r dumb if they think all italian americans act like these people do. i love the show jersey shore and think theyre hilarious to watch. snooki is awesome, u tell em' girl!
Fisrt off I have watched this show and it is so unbelievably filled with DRAMA! As for Dominoes pulling go for it however you should have thought about where you were advertising...MTV REALITY SHOW!!!! Also, these kids are reinforcing a stereotype that is beyond outdated. Wise up kids you're making yourselves look horrible and a joke to the world....
i don't think they're trying to say that italian americans are all sleeze bags, just this bunch. maybe they'll find a better class of people and try again. maybe they did it on purpose to begin with thinking people would be drawn to the trashiness.
In my eyes. Snooki is just another name for "asian carp"..and what the heck kind of name is snooki? "aw i'm so cute, call me snooki!" imagine saying that name during sex..not hot.
I can't beleive this trash that is being broadcast on TV..I can't beleive these people aren't walking around without some kind of venereal disease and are hoping to "hookup" with a stranger and probably not get/give Aids??(Eventually) Whatever happened to that concern?? I didn't even mention morality/nor did anyone think of that when creating this show..the men are so over-angry and the woman act and look so loose..good luck in future endeavors that need brains..and anti-cootie cream..GIGGLE
Everything.. EVERYthing that is WRONG with this country today, and while our decline as a nation is irreversible... was on display and summed up in THIS show. THANKS MTV for continuing to do YOUR HUGE part in eroding the fabric of a once functional American society.

Way to go Domino's!!! Not only is it offensive to the American Italians, I find it offensive to all
