Kate Gosselin's Got a New Dating Show?

Kate Gosselin's first stab at reality didn't end up smelling like roses (more like a bad scented candle that you can't re-gift), so I'm left scratching my head with word that the original TV octo-mom may be looking for love via reality television. That's right ... a Kate Gosselin reality dating show. Oh, 2010, we don't know whether to love or hate you! All that, plus how 'Nine' is the musical grim reaper and my New Year's resolutions after the jump!

Kate Gosselin's Octo-Dating Show

Oh no, say it ain't so. Sources tell me the newly-single Kate Gosselin is in discussions to star in a new reality show -- this time focusing on finding new (and hopefully snipped) love! "Love her or hate her, people are fascinated by Kate," a TV executive tells me. "she has a lot of mouths to feed and Kate looking for love will certainly put bread on the table."

But before you return your TV to Best Buy, take note that the idea hasn't been greenlighted yet. "It's still in the development stage," says one insider -- and let's hope it stays there. Kate, we all want you to find love, but this time around, maybe keep the cameras out of it.

Also, may we suggest some titles? 'Date Kate!' or perhaps 'Who Wants to Marry an Octo-Mom?' ... no, we've got it: 'Oh,Give Me a Break!' Yeah, that one sings!

'Nine' = the Demise of Movie Musicals?

Speaking of singing -- after the disastrous debut of the movie musical 'Nine,' studio execs tell me it could be the final nail in the coffin of the genre. "Hollywood is scared of musicals. Even Disney abandoned the singing formula for a long time before they made under-performing 'Princess and the Frog,'" a fancy producer tells me.

That's is just too bad. I love 'The Sound of Music,' 'Chicago' and 'Fiddler on the Roof.'

"Every producer is looking at 'Nine' and wondering why it bombed with that cast. The conclusion they have all come to is musical don't sell tickets," the producer says.

Silly fools. It's not musicals that we don't like -- it's bad films.

New Year's Resolutions

I promise to not mention Heidi or Spencer (who is apparently Twittering about me ... thanks, Spency!) in my column for an entire year. Who really cares about Kate - a reality show - how outrageous - does she have talent - no - is she outstanding - no - there reallyisn't anything special about this lady except for the fact that she has 8 children -
REgarding the Sheens - who cares if they get back together - it's their personal business - it's just to bad that everything they do winds up in the news - being actors definitelyhas it drawback. It's time the media backs down a little.

Maybe this is a test to see how we the public feel about another train wreck of a reality show. This reality show made a mess and distroyed two people's lives publicly and now it is going to be done again! Kate and Jon should both be out of the media permanently. Maybe the producers should screen the people for a reality show better than they do because Jon and Kate are both CRAZY! Maybe crazy sells!

Kate is addicted to the money from TV shows. Here's a clue for Kate and Jon: We are sick of you!! You had all those kids, now turn your attention and focus on supporting them and quit sucking off the teat of stupid producers who think the public waits with baited breath for their every move. Reality shows are a thing of the past. The people in Hollywood are not in touch with John Q public. why do people watch reality shows ? Here's a clue Hollywood. THERE"S NOTHING ELSE ON > Jay Leno's show takes up one prime TV spot every night so that hour is out cuase nothing else is on unless you want to watch spin off's off NCIS or CSI all of which suck. Then you have our choice between Bimbo's in NY, Atlanta, Jersey or the OC. Or how bout the stupid shows Little people, Dog the bounty hunter, Little Chocolaters, Table for Twelve, the Duggards, ENOUGH already. Give us something we want to watch not something we have to watch cause there is nothing else on.

Daniel Day Lewis although a wonderful actor, is not a big enough draw or a musical performer to bring in the crowds. Richard Gere, who did such a wonderful job in "Chicago", could sing and dance. The ladies of Nine were great! Especially Fergie who has a great voice and should use it more. Kate Hudson did a very good job, as did Cruz. Nicole is always good, and Dame Judy Dench is a wonder to behold. All the ladies did well.

Movie musicals are wonderful and I hope this does not stop more of them in the future, you just have to make sure that the leading man is a draw to both men and women and someone who can really sing and dance.

Kate appearances on shows is all fake. The whiney talk and crocodile tears are to get your sympathy.
She is a conniver and knows what she is doing.
Blaming Jon for everything is her way of beating him down. He is the one who changed dirty diapers, gave baths and took care of the kids while she went to book signings, spas, hair dressers. She suddenly thought she was important and didn't have to do the real work raising the kids. She probably hardly sees them anymore.
