Meet Rosie O'Donnell's New Girlfriend
By PopEater Staff Posted Dec 31st 2009 11:00AM
Rosie O'Donnell is no longer single. The comedian is now dating Tracy Kachtick-Anders, a Texas-based artist, O'Donnell's rep confirms to PEOPLE. The happy couple was spotted strolling hand-in-hand on Miami Beach Tuesday. Looks like she's moved on from her longtime partner Kelli Carpenter.

Kachtick-Anders is active in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender parenting and adoption issues. She launched Open Arms Campaign, a non-profit organization to recruit and foster adoptive families that targets the LGBT community.
"I have become an activist and work to educate everyone, not only about the plight of foster children," she wrote on TheRainbowBabies.com, "but also the inequality that faces LGBT people in their quest to create families."
Kachtick-Anders has six children, five of whom are adopted, according to the Examiner.com.
The two met through O'Donnell's blog, says Perez Hilton.

I just have a few questions about Rosie... She got married, right? OK, then the following would have to be asked... Did they get a divorce?, Was there a prenup?, if not, how do they divide the assests? Who gets the kids? Is there Child support involved? Is there alimony involved? Does the person that left get visitation with the children? In other words, gay folks want to get married, but perhaps not divorced so much... If you want the "legal" marriage, how about the "legal" divorce???? Cant' have it both ways... Any gays want to take up that question??? I didn't think so...

get your head out your butt and be respectful....who cares whos gay or straight if you love someone love them no matter there gender or sexuality. As far as Rosie goes I think shes great ya shes made mistakes but who hasnt really.Get a life a grow up you ignorant people.
You asked a question, did they get divorced? Without waiting for an answer, you then attacked all gay people about "wanting it both ways and not getting divorced". Without having your first question answered, I will ask how do you have a right to say what "gay people want" when you don't even know WTF you are talking about? And before you try to jump on me, no, I am not now nor have I EVER been gay, but then again I have never been a narrow minded bigot who speaks before having a clue what they are speaking about either.
And by-the-way, I would suspect that many gay people would not think that Rosie O'Donnel is their poster child so whether she divorced or didn't is no reflection on all gay people.
I am not gay, though I am active for gay rights. So I will take up your question. Gay, straight whatever, a marriage is a marriage. If children are involved there is child support and all the other legal obligations.
Much as I have grown to dislike rosie over the years. I have no reason to believe that she and her ex are not or have not already, resolved those issues. Being gay does not mean stupid or a deadbeat. They take their role as partner and parent just as seriously as any one else.
Its a damn shame there is so much misunderstanding in the world
Hey moron, Tiger hasn't gotten a divorce, yet has had 14 new f**k buddies. So does it really matter what Rosie and her ex have done?
Rosie is a flake!
Sure I will answer you.
You dont know any details of the divorce. Of course all of those details will be worked out no matter how they are married. If they live in the same stat that they were married in, then they will take care of the legalities. Why do you assume they would not do any of those things???
seems you have a bias opinion from the start.
All of the questions you just posed are the reason we need legal clarity! thank you for bringing it to our attn. More needs to be done to answer all of those questions to protect everyone, mostly the children. As with any couple, a breakup is devistating. No one plans or wants it. Just Humans folks
So many questions, so little brain cells.
So can you be a gay polygamist? Like a guy with four guys? Who would play the momma? And Rosie, AKA Ms Piggy, and her new whatchamacallit, which one gets to nurse the babies they won't have. Imagine, being their "love child", that would be cruel and unsual, no queer, punishment.
They got married in California during the 80-ish days when Gay Marriage was legal. Any moron knows that states that don't allow Gay Marriage do not recognize vows made in other states. Their marriage is legal in California only, so unless they both move to CA, there would be no divorce, hence no divorce, no pre-nup, no custody hearing. Maybe do your research before you preach your right-wing, conservative, I'm-better-than-you attitudes. Or maybe just educate yourself that there are people who may not be the same as you, but are people none-the-less.
From what I have gotten from Rosie's blog, the relationship between her and Kellie has been over for much longer than what the public is aware of.
Hi Paul, I will take you up on your question. Very simple. It works the same way as it does "straight" people. They will decide on where they go from here, If they divorce, then they will go through the courts like anyone else, As for custody, they will go through the courts like anyone else. I don't want to assume, but I beleive that you think "gay married people" want some kind of special treatment. this is not the case. "WE" want equal rights as anyone else. Therefore, we want equal rights in divorce, custody, property, alimony and simply........They same as you. Hope I cleared this up.
I agree 100%, if we want the same rights as straight people we absolutely have to suffer the same consequences. I dont think any gay person would disagree with you.
rosie gave her half of one her thighs, equivalent to 14 whole cows and a beaver pelt.
so quick to, answer your own question. First of all if they were afforded teh same rights as you have, from birth, they would have to get a divoce and all the same follows, even in civil union, you have to divorce, it's the law as it stands now. you seem to think we are asking for something special, by your post. so smarten up, read and learn before you post such childish questions, that you feel like anserwing yourself. good luck
GAYS GETTING MARRIED IS SICK AND DEPRAVED; NOT THE WAY GOD PLANNED IT..................
Of course all the rules should apply to "gay divorce" as it does to "straight divorce". As a gay man, I would have no problem with that what so ever.
Rosie got married in the City of San Francisco, but those marriages were made void. So she was never legally married. Of course, if we are allowed to get married we'd have to divorce just like all the breeders.
Who Cares !
