Meet Rosie O'Donnell's New Girlfriend

Rosie O'Donnell is no longer single. The comedian is now dating Tracy Kachtick-Anders, a Texas-based artist, O'Donnell's rep confirms to PEOPLE. The happy couple was spotted strolling hand-in-hand on Miami Beach Tuesday. Looks like she's moved on from her longtime partner Kelli Carpenter.

Kachtick-Anders is active in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender parenting and adoption issues. She launched Open Arms Campaign, a non-profit organization to recruit and foster adoptive families that targets the LGBT community.

"I have become an activist and work to educate everyone, not only about the plight of foster children," she wrote on TheRainbowBabies.com, "but also the inequality that faces LGBT people in their quest to create families."

Kachtick-Anders has six children, five of whom are adopted, according to the Examiner.com.

The two met through O'Donnell's blog, says Perez Hilton.

I really don't care who someone loves.. I don't care if you are gay, straight, black, white green or whatever... The fact is I just can't stand Rosie O'Doughnut.. I personally think she is void of any talent and she is with out a doubt the most annoying "celeb" out there...She opens her mouth and talks without a clue..She continues to look like a bag woman regardless of the money she has.. She isn't funny and if I was a gay woman she would not get a second glance from me... Just my opinion...

Just another reason why same sex couples should not be allowed to adopt. The kids were going to be confused enough already! Now they will really be confused. If you want to be gay that's your right, but don't teach the kids to be gay before they have a chance to make up their own minds, and YES, that's exactly what the kids are learning when adopted by same sex couples. Being gay is NOT ok. It's your right as an American, but that doesn't make it right morally. And no I'm not a religious freak. If men were meant to bang other men, there would be no women, and vice-versa. It's just unnatural!

So, our alternative is to let our children be raised by folks like you who use terms like "bang other men", and believe we teach our children to be gay? What, do we give them lessons on feather boas and track lighting in between episodes of Sesame Street? Show the girls how to wear flannel and spit and buy the boys tiaras? No Joy, but a kid watching 2 women being affectionate is enough to confuse them. If you want to be a carpet muncher that's your business. Don't force it on the kids. And what I say here doesn't mean I would say it in front of a kid. Do you curse when kids aren't around but check your language when kids are present? And please don't try to use my logic for your cause. Even if you don't show gay affection in front of the kid, the kid will be smart enough to realize what is going on when you both go to bed in the same room, and there;s only one bed in there.

Joe, there's absolutely nothing wrong with being gay. It's nothing you can teach anyone...period. My parents are a wonderful, heterosexual couple who have been married for over 45 yrs. If there were any truth to your reasoning, then by all means, I should be straight after having watched them. I've known I was homosexual since I was at least eight years old. It's never been, nor will it ever be, a choice - FOR ANYONE! Don't worry Joe, I promise I won't have any children...I'd hate to think they would grow up in a world with folks as ignorant as you. Oh, and as someone who's been in law enforcement for over 14 years, I'd like to thank all of you heterosexuals for never doing anything wrong. Nope...there's definitely no straight folks out there molesting and raping poor, innocent children - only the evil gays! You "staights" just keep doing it right...that 50% divorce rate is just a myth, right? Really, all of us gay people should learn from you so we can mess up our lives as well.

She and Kelli were married in California, but the marriage was annulled by the state in a blanket undoing of all unions that took place during a specific time period. So in answer to the people who are incorrectly answering their own question: She is not legally married.(Thanks to homophobes like you.)
