Rush Limbaugh 'Resting' Following Chest Pain Scare
Rush Limbaugh's Web site posted the following statement late Wednesday: "Rush was admitted to a Honolulu hospital today and is resting comfortably after suffering chest pains. Rush appreciates your prayers and well wishes. He will keep you updated via RushLimbaugh.com and on Thursday's radio program."
According to Hawaii's
KITV, the 58-year-old radio host was rushed to a Honolulu hospital after experiencing chest pains Wednesday afternoon. The ABC affiliate reported Limbaugh arrived in serious condition and will not be released until Thursday, at the earliest.
Paramedics responded to a 911 call made from the Kahal Hotel and Resort at 2:42 p.m. Hawaiian Time - 7:42 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. A source tells KITV: "Limbaugh was sitting in a chair in his ninth-floor hotel room at the Kahala when emergency crews arrived... He told medical crews that he was taking medication for a back problem."
According to
TMZ, "the hotel took drastic measures to get the mystery patient – reported to be
Limbaugh – out of the resort without being seen."
The site reports that hotel security closed off an entire wing of the hotel and transported Limbaugh to the ground floor via the staff elevator.
Limbaugh left for his usual Christmas vacation on Dec. 23 and is due to return to his show on Jan. 4. Kit Carson, Limbaugh's chief of staff, told The Associated Press that he didn't have any information on whether that schedule would change.
The conservative radio host, who is in Hawaii at the same time as powerful Democrats
Barack Obama and
Nancy Pelosi, hadn't, to the public's knowledge, been hospitalized since 2003, when he underwent treatment for an addiction to painkillers. His chronic back problems were reportedly at the root of the addiction. In 2001 Limbaugh was hospitalized after losing hearing in his right ear due to Autoimmune Inner Ear Disease. He has
claimed to be, "for all practical purposes, deaf."
He is also a well known cigar smoker. According to the
American Heart Association, cigar smokers appear to have a higher risk of death from coronary heart disease than non-smokers.

Rush should be okay, so I'm very sorry to all the miserable, hate filled liberals, who apparently will not get their wish granted. They have been conditioned by their sycophants,(I know its a big word, sound it out, and look it up), to hate him, without any real justification, other than he disagrees with some of what they believe. Look at it this way, even if Rush passed away, you will still be miserable, hate filled people anyway, because liberalism does not lead to anything else.

No hypocrite our fat little baby Rushie. He loves all wars but stayed out of the lovely little Vietnam war with a sore ass. He hates drug addicts but is one big fat one himself. He hates lawbreakers but got his maid to buy him drugs, doctor shopped and thereby obtained even more illegal drugs. He claims to be a Christian but spews nothing but lies and hatred on his dumb-ass radio show.
I wish El Rushie Gordo a speedy recovery. Rush, Sarah and all the millions of ditto-heads who parrot his every word are the very best gifts the Democrats ever got. America can ill afford to waste such obvious talent.

When Rush is wrong he admits it. He has told us how he was adicted and he has also lost a great deal of weight. He will be the first to say he is not perfect. I listen to him occasionally because he doesn't yell his opinions, and he laughs about things. I am saddened by the hate. I don't agree with our prez but I don't yell hate at him. He won the race with a small margin. Again can't we all just stop the hate. Move on. I wish Rush well as I would anyone that is suffering.

Reguadless of how all you NimNals feel about Limbaugh's politics, and how deepely you want to annalize his human frailties...(Jeezes; It's as rediculous as Tiger Woods sudden failure by judgmental press )... I find it much more interesting that anyone who has just been recocnized as 2009's most influential radio personality,is so totally ignored by the media as a whole. Could it possibly be due to the fact that his show relates a view that although obviously popular (hence the recocnition), is less than loved by the 'Left'. Or should I say 'The Afraid'.
