Howard Stern: Rumors About Artie Lange Make Me Sick
Howard Stern vowed on Monday to refrain from commenting on his hospitalized sidekick
Artie Lange, but not before saying he "wanted to vomit" after reading rumors about the comedian's fragile health.
A spokesman
confirmed over the weekend that Lange, 42, is in a New Jersey hospital, but no other information has been released.
On his Sirius Satellite Radio show Monday, Stern vowed to keep quiet on Lange's condition, but didn't shy away from showering his buddy with praise (via
PhillyBurbs.com).
"Artie has given this show tremendous moments of great comedy," Stern said. "He's a tremendous contributor. He is a good man. Don't forget how great he is."
Co-host Robin Quivers added that Lange "Is the most loving guy, always giving."
Stern bashed reports that Lange has been replaced with Jim Breuer, saying they were "absolutely false ... I don't know where that comes from."
Lange, who has struggled with drug abuse in the past, hasn't appeared on Stern's radio show since December and has canceled several of his upcoming stand-up dates. He was also busted in 2009 for a DUI.

Is Howard even slightly relevant anymore
? The good thing about his satellite show is now that it is out of sight, it is out of mind.

HMMM, showering him with praise? Artie must have one foot in the grave and the other on a bannana peel.
The only time Howard is nice is when one of his friends is dead. Like Sam, oh how he praised Sam Kinison when he died.

Isn't there a morning show that's more entertaining than Howard Stern? I think it is the Lex & Terry Morning Show. However, that's just one persons opinion, well there are probably several more out there also. I have seen the Howard Stern TV episodes and they are sometimes ok and other times just kind of Blah. Every guy[well most every guy]will watch a show if they think that they might get a look at some goodies. That's just the way it is. Whoops I forgot this was all about Artie wasn't it; well I hope he gets well.

If you don't like Stern's show, don't listen, it's that simple. Obviously his style and format does appeal to many, many people, or he wouldn't still be on the air.

I love Howard, and Artie was great on the show. But I have ZERO sympathy for drug addicts. I hope next time he isn't such a puss and he gets that knife nice and deep into his neck. You are a waste of life, Artie. DIE! I will be back to make fun of you when I hear of your death. SMD

Stern certainly did change the way everyone listened to radio.
I love raunch, but there were times that HS was so bad I had to turn it off.
Here's the deal...
Anything that HS did before he went to satellite needed to be racy and at the line......
He regularly clowned on all the people who showed up AFTER they left the studio. And when people died or tried to kill themselves, he was Howie-on-the-spot making fun of them.
So now we have to behave and treat a suicide attempt with reverence because it's on of his crew?
Eff him.
He'll do the same thing to Lange as he did with his fans.
We made him big, he left because he wanted more money and the ability to be a bigger AW on Sirius. When he left I really didn't miss him.
On terrestrial radio he was brilliant because he had to work around the FCC. He had to work for his laughs and we followed.
He's just another dying star that's married to a Bobette that is way more obnoxious that he is.
I hope HS makes AL bare his chest so he can do a "Guess the Non-Hesitation wounds" on AL's fat arse.
He can pick up some homeless people and make them play for prizes and money!!
I bet Joe Buck is LHMFAO about AL.
