Kathy Griffin Banned From CNN

Hopefully Kathy Griffin's New Year's resolution was to be on CNN less, because the foul-mouthed comedienne has lost her visitor's pass after dropping the f-bomb on this year's show. Kathy Griffin Banned From CNN

Following her very controversial F-bomb-dropping New Year's Eve hosting gig, CNN executives have decided Kathy Griffin will NOT be getting a 2011 invite. "She was a total embarrassment to the network that calls themselves 'The Most Trusted Name in News.' Even Anderson (Cooper, her co-host) thinks it's time to say goodbye to Kathy," a CNN insider tells me.

Not only did the potty-mouthed redhead drop the F bomb on live TV, she also made not-so-funny jokes about needing a "bump" of cocaine and asked Cooper if he pleasured himself while looking in the mirror. As sexy as the Silver Fox is ... that's just too much, Kathy.

Even worse than the comedienne's desperate need to shock was the fact that the show was a ratings bomb, as it fell far behind the family-friendly 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' on ABC.

Still, CNN publicist Shimrit Sheetrit tells me: "No decisions have been made yet regarding next year's show."

CNN, I find it hard to believe that you have not yet made a decision regarding someone who drops the F bombs live on your network!!!

Either way, it's nice to see Dick Clark on top like the classy fella he is.

Rosie's New Soul Mate

Although their romance is still in its early stages, friends of Rosie O'Donnell tell me the former 'View' host -- who revealed in November that she and partner Kelly Carpenter had been separated for two years -- is happier than ever now that she's with Tracy Kachtick-Anders.

"Rosie has a huge smile on her face and is saying she has met her soul mate. That love is better the second time around as she can be honest from day one about her relationship rather than hide it behind closed doors," a friend tells me. "Tracy is perfect for Rosie. She has six kids of her own and couldn't care less about how rich and powerful Rosie is. All she wants from Rosie is love."

I'm happy for you, Rosie. Best of luck.

'Harry Potter' Surprise

I spent New Year's Day with the ever-fabulous two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole at her open house in New Jersey. It was filled with Broadway singers (Michael Feinstein) producers (Randall Wreghitt) cute songwriters (Bruce Sussman) and lawyers (yuk.)

But my favorite was ... Alan Rickman, aka Professor Serverus Snape from the 'Harry Potter' films. Children from the neighborhood were two-deep looking through Christine's front window trying to get a glimpse of the mysterious Professor, and when they did, they couldn't have been more surprised. Snape was a doll. The only person at the party with more magic than Rickman was Ebersole herself!

I agree, Lynn. I watched most of the show including the part with the photos. I thought she was just making fun of Falcon's name and that AC called her "terrible" b/c she was making fun of a kid's name. I think the real issue is that she's Kathy Griffin and CNN knows what could happen; there's no reason that part of the show couldn't be on a "delay" since they cut away to music and crowd shots a couple of minutes before the ball drops anyway.

With Kathy, you know what you're getting. I happen to love her, but now I understand the perspective of CNN more clearly, and I won't be watching. As for making fun of poor little Falcon's name, I think the story speaks for itself -- his parents are nut jobs and brought all of this ridicule on him themselves.

After last year's fiasco, I can't imagine why CNN would even consider inviting the hateful, loud, trashy Kathy Griffin back for more this year. She isn't even remotely funny. Anderson Cooper is so professional, that I can't imagine him agreeing to even stand next to her. She's not only not funny, she's appallingly rude, butting in on him and rasping out obscenities. CNN wake up! She's an embarrassment ....

If most of you think Kathy is foul mouthed and trashy, why did you hit this report on her "F" bomb? Something must have been there to attract your curiosity about her!
I think she's very funny. She says things about celebs that most of us think about, but don't say out loud.
She's the reason I tuned in this year. I was waiting to see what she would do next. We never turned the channel. Anderson is a great journalist, but his humor is too dry and lacking to handle a New Year's Eve gig alone. He needed her to bump it up a little.

I normally like Kathy Griffin but when I turned on CNN Thursday night I couldn't watch for more than 5 minutes. She was boring and loud. I hope CNN can find someone worth watching next year.

Rosie? Why write about her. What has see done in the past year to still be in the news. Give us up to date people not old has beens. Besides nothing seems to make her happy. O'Reilly's right on this one.

True, that wasn't appropriate at that time. The majority of the time Kathy is funny and entertaining. Rosie is the on the other hand is a loud mouth dike with no class. I keep my remote controller handy just for her and others like her.

Kathy has done this before. The F word is all she knows to TRY to get a laugh. No woman loks good, or sounds good using such words. It only cheapens them every time they use it. Im glad cnn has used their brains and will not allow her on their net work any more. May be kathy will learn something?
