Kathy Griffin Banned From CNN

Hopefully Kathy Griffin's New Year's resolution was to be on CNN less, because the foul-mouthed comedienne has lost her visitor's pass after dropping the f-bomb on this year's show. Sorry Kathy, but we don't think Fox News will be knocking down your door now that you're available! More on Kathy's banning, plus Rosie O'Donnell's new love and more after the jump!

Kathy Griffin Banned From CNN

Following her very controversial F-bomb-dropping New Year's Eve hosting gig, CNN executives have decided Kathy Griffin will NOT be getting a 2011 invite. "She was a total embarrassment to the network that calls themselves 'The Most Trusted Name in News.' Even Anderson (Cooper, her co-host) thinks it's time to say goodbye to Kathy," a CNN insider tells me.

Not only did the potty-mouthed redhead drop the F bomb on live TV, she also made not-so-funny jokes about needing a "bump" of cocaine and asked Cooper if he pleasured himself while looking in the mirror. As sexy as the Silver Fox is ... that's just too much, Kathy.

Even worse than the comedienne's desperate need to shock was the fact that the show was a ratings bomb, as it fell far behind the family-friendly 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' on ABC.

Still, CNN publicist Shimrit Sheetrit tells me: "No decisions have been made yet regarding next year's show."

CNN, I find it hard to believe that you have not yet made a decision regarding someone who drops the F bombs live on your network!!!

Either way, it's nice to see Dick Clark on top like the classy fella he is.

Rosie's New Soul Mate

Although their romance is still in its early stages, friends of Rosie O'Donnell tell me the former 'View' host -- who revealed in November that she and partner Kelly Carpenter had been separated for two years -- is happier than ever now that she's with Tracy Kachtick-Anders.

"Rosie has a huge smile on her face and is saying she has met her soul mate. That love is better the second time around as she can be honest from day one about her relationship rather than hide it behind closed doors," a friend tells me. "Tracy is perfect for Rosie. She has six kids of her own and couldn't care less about how rich and powerful Rosie is. All she wants from Rosie is love."

I'm happy for you, Rosie. Best of luck.

'Harry Potter' Surprise

I spent New Year's Day with the ever-fabulous two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole at her open house in New Jersey. It was filled with Broadway singers (Michael Feinstein) producers (Randall Wreghitt) cute songwriters (Bruce Sussman) and lawyers (yuk.)

But my favorite was ... Alan Rickman, aka Professor Serverus Snape from the 'Harry Potter' films. Children from the neighborhood were two-deep looking through Christine's front window trying to get a glimpse of the mysterious Professor, and when they did, they couldn't have been more surprised. Snape was a doll. The only person at the party with more magic than Rickman was Ebersole herself!

Go back to the seedy gay nightclubs with the holes in the bathroom stalls and re-raunch your pathetic career. The fruit cups are your only fans anyhow. I think too much plastic surgery and botox have numbed your face to the point you can't exercise what few brains cells you originally had. You're a sad sack and a caricature of one of those wooden dummies. You're nothing but trash.

Personally, I find it hilarious! I'm not saying what she did was right, but, I can imagine the look on Anderson's face when she asked him if he looked in the mirror and pleasured himself. LOL! Even the Liberal Anderson would of been suprised at that one.

Anderson Cooper is, I believe, one of the few serious news journalists left, ranking up there with Christine Amanpour--WHY CNN paired him with the likes of Kathy Griffin is so far out in left field that it's beyond the sensible man's reason.
She is nasty. Rude. Crude. Filthy mouthed. A "never was". (opposite of a "has been"). She thinks she is funny. How can any decent human being think insulting others in the way she does is funny--OR acceptable? Because, it isn't. I can't stand to look at her, much less listen to her. WHO at CNN made the decision to pair these two people for even one evening? I felt embarassed for Anderson.

I am VERY proud of CNN for booting off Kathy Griffin. That gave me a lot of respect for them. NOW..I hope everyone else boots her off. She made me very angry when she said what she did at the awards. She is a nasty mouthed jerk. One day she will pay. She might have fame and fortune here on earth, but one day she will reach her real judge. There she will be brought to her knees and see she is NO better than anyone else. Again, Way to go CNN. NOW..I hope other networks do the same. AND..fans of hers are no longer fans.

I love Cathy Griffin. She is an Individualist. She bows to no one. She dosn't care what you think; she sets her own course regardless wither you like it or not. CNN should have known what they were getting: She even made jokes about it. When she was told the news network would demand she pay back her advance for saying certain things "live on air", she said: "I'll bring my checkbook." She never intended to allow herself to be chained to the limitations placed upon her. The joke was not what she said, which was all improv.....the joke was on CNN for thinking they could "control" her!

You must have been in a few Gay Bars since you know about holes in the walls.....

It's a mystery to me as to how Kathy Griffin ever got ANYwhere. She is mean, vindictive, crude, rude and definitely NOT funny. I'm sure Anderson Cooper was mortified and not happy to be working with her. He is so classy.

CNN got what they deserved.
She has a reputation of doing things similar.
She was also fired from E after asking I believe Dakota Fanning if she did drugs.
She also accepted an award and said something controversial about Jesus Christ.
So you get what you pay for.
This woman is a publicity seeking whore.
She'll do anything to get attention.

I truly dislike Kathy Griffin. She is has no class and is stupid. She is not funny. She never will be funny. I don't know what CNN was thinking in the first place. I am not surprised she did that. That is just how she acts and CNN should have known that. I did and that is why I never watch her and never will. I refuse to watch anything she is on. So I blame CNN for this to, if they had done their home work they would have known this was bound to happen. I have no doubts that she is proud of herself. People like her normally are.

I always turn to another channel when Kathy is on. She is so rude and so foul mouthed. This is not what people like to watch and listen to, much to the disbelief of some TV stations. I wish we had more family shows on TV so we wouldn't worry what our children might see or hear every time we turned on the TV.
