Nick Jonas kicked off his first tour outside of the Jonas Brothers with a hometown show in Dallas, Texas on Jan. 2. However, Nick Jonas and the Administration, the 17-year-old's new side band, had the full backing of brothers Kevin and Joe, who watched and cheered him on. "My brothers were there to support me for the first night," Nick tells PopEater from the tour's third stop in Nashville, Tenn. "I knew they were there. It made for a good and comfortable environment."
Still, having his brothers watch and not play the songs was unusual at first. "Being up on the stage, there definitely was a moment when I realized that this was a lot different to anything I'd done in the past," Nick says. But he rose to the occasion and flew with it. "It was time to take that energy and do my best."

It isn't just his brothers giving Nick full support either -- fans have been learning the new songs via videos on the Internet and singing along. Each night, the crowd participation just grows and grows. "It's fun to see them learn each song as the nights go by, studying YouTube videos and things like that. It's a new way of learning music," he says.
So far, Jonas has no complaints, as the shows have been great. "The reaction to the songs so far has been amazing. I'm having a lot of fun so far," says Jonas, adding that the Dallas show, just 30 minutes away from his home, was very special. "A lot of family came out, a lot of friends. It was a great experience."
Nick Jonas and the Administration's debut album, 'Who I Am,' will be released on Feb. 2.
these jonas brothers are 3 of the most untalented teenyboppers i have ever seen and heard.i saw his band perform on the grammy nominations show,it was so bad, i was embaressed for him.
Lol I find it funny how avergage joe's bumming around doing nothing with their lives (like zoning in front of the tv watching the grammy noms) can feel "embarrased" for a kid doing what he loves and getting paid for it. I think your life might be a lot less fulfilling and a lot more embarrasing then Nick Jonas'.
So true Laricee! They are HORRIBLE singers, but remember this is more about HARMONES than actual talent. The poor teens and tweens are having a very hard time accepting that the Jonas' as a group are about to be done. They need something to redirect their harmones, so now Nick's band will have to do. I hope all of the JoBros had a career back up plan...they're gonna need it!
There are no bands like the Bee Gees any more. They had/have very tight harmonies and were/are able to adjust to all times and developments in music. They were and are truly remarkable.
Talented or not, the Jonas Brothers are out there doing something that they enjoy for a living, how many of us can make that claim ? I'm not a fan of their music, but it still seems pretty pathetic to bash these guys for doing what they love, no matter how talentless you may feel that they are. If you don't like their music, don't listen, it's really as simple as that. Obviously someone likes them, or they wouldn't be as popular as they are.
I don't care what people say, I LOVE NICK JONAS!!! I am very proud of him and proud to be a Jonas Brothers fan!!! Im going to see Nick Jonas and the Administration in Detroit and its going to be AMAZING!!! Nick, Joe and Kevin are extreamly talented and just because Nick is doing a side project it doesn't mean the JoBros will break up!!! If you don't like them that's ok, but you don't need to speak badly about them!!! JB
