Redmond O'Neal Arrested for Drugs While on Leave From Rehab

The year is already shaping up to be a bad one for Redmond O'Neal, who was taken into custody on drug charges while on a 24-hour leave from rehab.

Police arrested O'Neal -- son of actor Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett -- on Dec. 29 and he faces up to 6-years in prison for violating the terms of his probation, RadarOnline.com reports.

The staff of Impact, the treatment facility the 24-year-old was at, noticed O'Neal's condition when he returned from his leave.

The 24-year-old had been sent to rehab because of his previous drug arrests.

We've got our drunks, but you've got more than your share or drunks, druggies, whores and gay guys named Leroy. Now, the island is also known for pugilistics. If you'd like for me to give you a sample I'd be glad to unless you're to much of a whimpy one that is.

I am not on any drugs and have no drug problems. I understand that it isn't the person who is bad, it is the addiction that is overwhelming. The pressures of life can be overwelming and a harch environment does not help. Although, the crime is unacceptable it is not okay to wish someone to be dead! This could be your friend or brother with the problem, you'd not want them dead, just treated in rehab and successfully reconstituted into society doing something positive. I wish him much better luck in future. Sympathy, to the family.
