Bad news for magic fans hoping for Siegfried and Roy's return to the stage: not gonna happen. Siegfried Fischbacher is quoted in Tuesday's edition of German magazine Neues Blatt as saying that "Roy and I miss our audience. But there will not be a comeback."The duo gave their final performance last February after a five-year hiatus. That break, of course, came after Roy Horn was mauled by a white tiger named Montecore during a performance at The Mirage in Las Vegas.
Siegfried says Roy is still battling the long-term effects of the vicious attack, which left Horn in critical condition with severe blood loss.

I guess they just settled for having a gay old time.
Leroy,
I think they are going to raise baby animals. However, one never really knows for sure.
Shame that even when trying to be funny and put down another person you show your ignorance by not knowing how to spell. Try they're moron!!!
The atricle in questions was about their retirement. It had nothing to do with their sexuality you moron. Their act was full of class, much more than I can say for you. Leroy, why don't you retire from the world of Blogging? I'll bet my next pay check that you are miserable and lonely...must suck to be you dude!!!!!!
I think these two nasty ladies should be banned from all tv forever. Kathy has a nasty mouth and Rosie has a nasty attitude.

KATHY, ROSIE, What have you been drinking, taking or both? This is a story about Siegfried and Roy. I know it's hard but try and stay focused
So much toxicity. What horrible lives you folks must lead.
Good luck Gentlemen, and I hope your retirement is a long and happy one.

I concur!
I will miss seeing Seigfried and Roy on television. They were a terrific act. They should have more nice television shows like these instead of all of the sex, drugs and murders! I wish them well in their retirement, but they will be greatly missed. My husband & I went to Vagas and visited their spot, but of course they were not there. Wished I could have seen one of their acts. We saw a television interview with them at their actual home. All of the tigers lived right in the house with them. What a fantastic show. Wish I had taped it!

I caught one of their last shows that summer before the accident. They were the classic Vegas show. I'm happy they did not destroy the tiger. The animal was just being a tiger. What we destroyed each other for being human?
I'm rambling - they will be missed.

Oh, Mike, if people killed each other for being human there'd be no one left due to retaliation for wrong-doings, real or imagined, and we'd all kill each other off. There'd be no one left! Sad but true...
Nope they made sure the tiger was NOT put down.
Good to hear Roy is doing as well as he is. Walking again--that's great news! Good to hear they're getting a chance to retire. Word is they had a good act at the Mirage and entertained a lot of people.
Happy retirement S. and R.!--enjoy!!!

What a lovely couple. Vegas hasn't been, and never will be, the same without them.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to see their show in Vegas 14 years ago. It was an incredible show. Happy retirement gentlemen!

I agree with you. What a fantastic show. My husband and I stopped in Vegas to see the show during the summer of 2004. It was truly amazing, and worth every penny that we paid to see the unbelievable act. I wish them both well.
I thought their last show was the second Manticore grabbed him!
BTW-it wasn't a 'vicious attack' as written in the typically sensationalistic fashion of the screwy times...if Manticore had wanted Roy dead he'd have never made it out of his mouth alive.

It wasn't a vicious attack? The guy almost died from blood loss and is partially paralyzed to this day. I saw their show years ago, maybe 10 or 15 years ago, and it was the highlight of my trip to Vegas. They are first class. I was stunned to see the tiger in the middle of the audience where it seemed to appear out of nowhere. I was glad I wasn't seated in that area.
No, it wasn't 'vicious'...the tiger was responding to some as yet undetermined stimulus & wasn't trying to be vicious or hurt/kill Roy. As I said earlier, if Manticore wanted him dead he wouldn't have breathed 2 seconds longer...& MS degrees in wildlife biology & ecology rather than emotion, backs me up.
