Bad news for magic fans hoping for Siegfried and Roy's return to the stage: not gonna happen. Siegfried Fischbacher is quoted in Tuesday's edition of German magazine Neues Blatt as saying that "Roy and I miss our audience. But there will not be a comeback."The duo gave their final performance last February after a five-year hiatus. That break, of course, came after Roy Horn was mauled by a white tiger named Montecore during a performance at The Mirage in Las Vegas.
Siegfried says Roy is still battling the long-term effects of the vicious attack, which left Horn in critical condition with severe blood loss.

I could never afford the price of tickets to their show, but appreciate these couple of routines provided here. I'm sure Vegas will never be the same without them.

I had the opportunity to see their show in the early days at the Frontier and later with my daughter at the Mirage. Gay or not, their shows were incredible. I still to this day wonder how they performed some of the illusions. To those of you who who never saw them, you missed something amazing.

OMG - a tiger DID NOT ATTACK Roy - he had A STROKE and the animal was trying to save him.
These two are nothing but OLD QUEENS - that's why they are retiring. STOP BLAMING THE ANIMALS.

Now I am really mad at my husband. We were on vacation several years ago and he asked me if I wanted to go to Vegas. I said yes I did because my daughter and grandkids were living there at the time. My husband however decided that the vacation was only his vacation so we only got as far as Reno and then he refused to go any further. My daughter meanwhile had managed to get last minute tickets to one of S&R's shows and get a babysitter for her kids expecting us to be there the next day. She planned on taking us there even though she was on welfare herself at the time but she knew I would enjoy the show. My husband did not let me know until the next morning when we were supposed to head for Vegas that he did not want to go there after all. He has never lived that down. Ever since then it has been OUR vacation not just his or my vacation. I told him at the time that if that was ever going to happen again then he knew where the door was and he could not let it hit him in the behind on the way out it. I had seen S&R on tv a few times and really enjoyed their show so it would have been something else to have seen it in person.
S&R I am glad that things have improved now. I hope that you enjoy your retirement; you worked hard and earned every minute of it.
