Katy Perry Has a 'Soft Spot for Women'

In the new issue of Glamour, 'I Kissed a Girl' singer Katy Perry talks about the inspiration for the hit song that put her on the map.

"I have a soft spot for women -- I'm not afraid of it. Some women walk into the room, and they're so beautiful and you're like, 'I wanna smell you,' you know? I have certain girlfriends who I just think are the most angelic, beautiful creatures. And if any of my boyfriends ever fail me, I'll turn to them!" she says.

The star also talks about her fiance Russell Brand, relationships and guys in Los Angeles. Get More Inside

On Russell Brand: "When he was filming 'Get Him to the Greek,' I did a cameo with him. My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hop like a bunny when I'm happy--I get a bit childlike."

Relationships: "I'm excited to find a partner who can just be my teammate. And there's got to be respect. For me, that's hard because it's easy for me to steamroll guys. I need a man who tells me the party's over, that it's time to go home, because [we] have to work in the morning."

Bad dates: "When I was meeting people in L.A., guys always thought it they paid for dinner, they deserved a [sexual favor.] But generally, I'll say this -- and I'll say it proudly -- I can't sleep with someone if I don't have a connection with them."

Being vulnerable: "I have always been this character, but I kind of cartoon-ized myself a little bit [in my stage persona]. So when someone really likes me, it's like here comes a person! I wonder if you can handle this."

I like how Katy thinks! I adore guys, but I also think women are heavenly creatures. She sounds like an interesting, independent woman who isnt afraid to think for herself or BE herself. More power to her. Other people should be so open-minded and learn to think OUTSIDE the box.
