Anyone who did a Twitter check on Christmas day (and really, who didn't?) heard the news that actor Charlie Sheen had been arrested for allegations of domestic violence. We've heard the 911 call from his wife, Brooke Mueller, and the reports that the couple were drinking all night. We heard about the knife. A scandal like would ruin the career of plenty of celebs. Tiger Woods is practically hemorrhaging endorsement deals.

I love Two & 1/2 men...but I think people really don't care.
It's the media that likes to hype things up, I'm sure the Tiger thing would of gone away sooner if it wasnt' for the media.

The expectations may be low, but the reason he gets away with crap is because he has never pretended to be anything other than who he is... Tiger, on the other hand, purports to be a boy scout, and so, it's the deceptiveness that makes others pay for their "crimes", and why Charlie Sheen doesn't seem to have to "pay" so much... Because he's never deceptive! He may be a low down skunk, but he's always told us he's a low down skunk, so what's to punish? THIS is why he seemingly gets away with it.
You are absolutely right, it is because we do not expect much from him. He is a caricature in general, and makes fun of his flaws. His father is a wonderful man (caring, giving, married for 50+ years), it is so surprising he raised Charlie and Emilio, two drunken addicts who can't seem to hold a relationship together. Charlie, AND his new wife, should never drink, both are addicts with issues!
