'30 Rock' Star Jane Krakowski Engaged

Actress Jane Krakowski has won acclaim for her role on '30 Rock,' and a new rock is getting some attention for its role on Krakowski's ring finger - the 41-year-old actress is engaged.

"Jane Krakowski and Robert Godley are thrilled to announce that they are engaged to be married," a rep for the star told Access Hollywood. "Mr.Godley proposed to Ms. Krakowski over the holidays."

British businessman Goodley, a co-founder of Psycho Bunny upscale menswear, has been dating Krakowski for more than a year. "She is very much in love, and very, very happy," said a friend of the actress.

This will be the first wedding for the Tony award-winning star.

Are we to supposed to assume that there will be more? Is our era so jaded and cynical that they feel the need to clarify this in the article. Hollywood in particular is notorious for failed marriages. Maybe they felt the need to clarify because of that. The way they put it just sounds bad.
Perhaps they could have said, "The Tony award-winnign star has never been married before." That sound a little less cynical.
