Mariah Carey Delivers 2nd Strange Speech in a Row

Mariah Carey received accolades for her role in 'Precious,' but her allegedly less-than-sober acceptance speech for a Breakthrough Actress award at the Palm Springs Film Festival won a different kind of attention - and an oddly disjointed ramble during Wednesday night's People's Choice Awards makes two strange speeches for Mariah in as many nights. While the singer/actress looked glam - if dangerously busty - in her mermaid-style gown, it's clear Carey didn't go for an experimental walk before donning the tight dress for the award ceremony. Carey barely made it up the steps to the People's Choice stage, with more than a little help from her husband Nick Cannon.

Once arriving to take the award for Favorite R&B Artist, Carey appeared unsteady on her feet, but remembered to call out God, her crew and her husband "for helping me with this dress because ... it's a drama," before coyly thanking Cannon for "many other things I probably shouldn't mention."

As Mariah's friend, I must say that she absolutely makes sense. I understood her perfectly...her use of language is brilliant.

She is an aware, sentient being...she knows things that others will never know....

FOR ONE THING SHE IS UGLY, SHE NEVER HAS ANYTHING IMPORTANT TO SAY, HER VOICE IS CRACKING NOW , (MAYBE SHE IS TOO) AND SHE CANT STAND ON STAGE TO GIVE A LITTLE SPEECH WITHOUT ABOUT FALLING DOWN AND SLURRING HER WORDS. SHE NEED REHAB IN THE WORST WAY. OH YES, AND HER TIGHT CLOTHES, MAYBE SHE SHOULD GO ON THE BIGGEST LOSER, BECAUSE SHE SURELY NEEDS IT, SHE IS FALLING ALL OUT OF HER DRESS. AT LEAST SHE CAN AFFORD ONE THAT WOULD FIT HER.

Mariah looks like a sausage in all of her clothes, some day the clothes will burst and we finally see how much of her weight she gained back. Alcohol does that to you, it has lots of calories.

What I don't understand is why her performance is so overrated. It seems that foks seem to have hearing problems .. Plus her demeaner is getting more and more bizarre. She seems to be on some pretty good stuff. Plus she wears dresses that make her look like Wanda the dancing hotdog .. It just shows that the American Public has tacky taste by giving her all htese awards.

I couldn't agree more. Two nights in a row that this woman was toasted, obviously intoxicated either by alcohol or some form of drug. She shouldn't be thanking her husband. She should be reaching our to him to get her some real help for whatever has taken a hold on her mind.
