Sharon Stone: I Didn't Insult Meryl Streep

Sharon Stone is fighting back against a magazine quote in which the actress seemed to bash Meryl Streep, as Stone tells PopEater exclusively that the publication took her quote completely out of context. "It is not ok with me for someone to take a statement I made with good-natured intent and to try and make it in to something politically incorrect," Stone tells PopEater. More exclusive quotes from Stone and the quote she's angry about after the jump!
The quote in UK's Tattler Magazine (via Huffington Post), had Stone saying: "I think that's why Meryl Streep is working so much, because she looks like a woman we can all relate to ... Meryl looks like an unmade bed, and that's what I look like. To me, that looks true."
Stone refutes how that quote is being portrayed, telling PopEater: "My love and support for what she [Streep] represents for women right now is extraordinarily important."
Her publicist agrees, adding that "the full context of what Sharon said about Meryl Streep in her interview with Tattler Magazine was meant as a compliment. Sharon greatly admires Meryl as a person, an actress, and as a friend."
The 'Basic Instinct' and 'Casino' actress also allegedly says in the Tattler interview: "I look at her and I think, 'I'm chasing my kids, I've moved my parents in with me, I'm coping with food spills - that looks like me in real life.'"
Also in the Tattler interview, Stone denies having any plastic surgery done, but then is quoted saying she did have work done once. "I have had zero, nothing done to myself: no lifting, no Botox, no injectables," she said. "I did try something once and I saw myself in a movie and didn't like the way I looked. I thought I looked like I had a giant balloon head, and I felt it wasn't for me.

Well Sharon first of all Meryl has actual talent, grace and is extremely respected. I don't think Sharon has any of those qualities, Meryl still has a glittering career and can get great roles still, correct me if I'm wrong but Sharon Stone is famous for crossing her legs with no underwear, that's pretty sad.

For someone so attractive and is supposed have a superior intellect, she sure sticks her foot in her mouth a lot. Perhaps she should just shut up and let people look at her.
Her German mag cover was sexy as hell but the mouth just ruins that moment.

I think her intention where good, but again news is sold by taking things out of context. As far as her mouth staying closed, I think all of Hollywood should do the same, including Meryl's. She went on 60 Minutes in the eighty's and talked about a chemical used in apple growing nationwide, called "Alar" which she knew nothing about, and caused hundreds of growers to go bankrupt. It was shortly thereafter proved to be harmless. Hollywood peopled are used to make news, but really should keep their mouth's closed.
Sharon looks as if she has had way to much plastic surgery while Streep looks much like someone her own age, which in truth looks a far cry better than Stone with all the plastic surgery she has had. Maybe she should take a lesson from Streep given Streep is in demand in Hollywood while Sharon isn't!

Jealousy is a terrible thing and Sharon Stone has so much of it to say Meryl Streep looks like an unmade bed....Well at least Meryl Streep has not had plastic surgery, and she does dress her age not like some women Sharon who dress in clothes much too short or young for their age (50 plus). Also that unmade be is still asked to and is making movies which is more than can be said for Stone.

Meryl Streep has been in all of these great wonderful respectful movies. I love One true thing, Heart burn, Out of Africa.....And so many more. What has Sharon Done? Oh Yeah....Opened her legs.

Not only is meryl streep the greatest actress , she is also very beautiful in her own way. And I also do not think that she has ever had anything done to her face, it is so natural, maybe plain, but very beautiful and pretty. So there! Sharon Stone, looks fake and pulled too tight to be beautiful and so skinny you can see her bones. Ugh.

Starring in countless disposable skin flicks-gaining notoriety as a vamp for one role,in particular-and then getting nominated for one don't exactly add up to an illustrious film career. Sharon should have known better than to allow the green-eyed monster to get the better of her during the interview.
