'Housewives' Star Tamra Barney Accused of Infidelity

Ready for another 'Real Housewives' star who isn't actually a wife? 'Real Housewives of Orange County' star Tamra Barney's husband of 11 years has filed for divorce, accusing the blonde bombshell of verbal abuse and "acts of disloyalty and infidelity."

In court papers obtained by RadarOnline.com, Simon Barney is seeking to dissolve the marriage based on "irreconcilable differences." He also wants joint custody of their three children. The document was filed Wednesday.

According to Radar, Tamra moved out of the couple's home this week but was apparently shocked to learn of Simon's petition for divorce. They have reportedly been having marital problems for years, and things have only been getting worse since she joined the Bravo cast for season three.

"Simon has simply had enough," a source says. "The show changed her."

Their relationship woes have been show fodder throughout this season and during a recent episode Tamra teared up while talking to her mom about Simon. "I feel like I'm losing my mind right now. It's like I can't eat and I can't sleep ... I don't know what to do ... I don't think I'm the person he wants me to be."

To which her mom responded: "He wants a housewife and you're not just a housewife."

At that, Tamra essentially predicted this week's events: "If it was just me and him, I would leave. There's no question. We're seriously heading towards divorce."

Other 'Real Housewives of Orange County' stars who aren't really housewives are Gretchen Rossi and Jeana Keough, currently in the midst of a divorce.

Simon is a total control freak. Where some of you get he is such a moral person. He's a manager for a car dealership. Yeah, they are held at such a high standard. Duh! He was only happy when he was getting laid. Just as soon as Tamra stood up for herself that was when their troubles started. If you remember he kept saying they had the "perfect marriage" and Tamra knew she was unhappy & it wasn't "perfect" Tamra may not be perfect, but who of us are. I hope she gets the emotional support from the other housewives & her non cast friends. Tamra, from my own experience be guarded at all times with Simon, he will use anything & everything against you. Not until your divorce is final, custody is determined can you even think about being friendly with him.

I thought Tamra was so cruel to Gretchen. I hope Gretchen shows her class by not stooping as low as Tamra did when she went through her problems. I have to wonder how much of what we see is just acting or real.

I have only seen a couple of episodes (what one does while recuperating from surgery) but I thought Simon was a control freak. And frankly, if it is a girls weekend, it should be just girls! Shame on those women for ruining a girls weekend out. I hate it when my sister wants to go do girl stuff then her hubby butts in...c'mon...Those husbands should have had enough cojones to say, "no, no, honey, this is your weekend away"...but Noooooo....they had to butt in!
I would be hacked off, too!
Gads, can't women be independant enough to enjoy a day or two without their crutches?

Not a "reality" show people. It's 95% scripted. Please pay attention. They have no talent, just famous for being famous as anyone of us could do what they do.

Meryl Streep is a real actress. She has talent. I'd ask for an autograph in a heartbeat. Wouldn't get one from these star-wanna-be's.

Simon is a control freak....and he was loosing controlof Tamra, just watch the last episode on hulu. She will be better off without him, like any control freak, he will try to make it her fault.What a loser he is! When "the girls" went to Florida, he had to go too.CONTROL isthe issue and he wants it, hope the judge has sense enough to see through him and give her full custody of the children and a hefty amount of support. He is evil personified.

Tamra is white trash who made a great "catch" in Simon. Unfortunately for Simon, he is finding out 11 years too late, that money cannot buy class. As a REAL housewife of OC who has lived here my entire life, I am offended by the women on this show. Just for the record, NONE of them are from Orange County, they just happen to currently live here.

I stopped watching the show because I can't stand this lady. She is always looking for trouble and can't seem to shut that mouth or mind her OWN business.. I wish she would leave the show, then I would watch again. I miss Jeanne..

Simon wants a divorce because Tamra has developed a mind of her own. Simon wants her to be totally dependent on him and to stay at home to wait on him. She will do soooooooo much better then him.

What works for one couple may not work for other couples and as long as the 2 people agree to how things should work in their lives then no one else should care. What I didnt like about Tamra is that she wanted it both ways. She wanted to have Simon but live the life of Vicki and Donn, and Simon was quick to put down Donn and Vicki because of the life they lead. I watch this show when I need to know how lucky I truly am. All the women need a good dose of reality.

I have watched this show a FEW times. I see it in 2 ways. Number one, these people are very disfunctional. They are back stabbers, spoiled, phoney and have no value to their lives (other than money) to even amuse an audience. Number two, Simon is very insecure. He won't allow his trophy wife to go away from the weekend with the other women on the show. WTF!!! Believe me, she isn't anything to concern himself about other men. Simon is a whimy little droll who has parenting issues with one of his sons and can't seem to tolerate another person's opinion. Last but not least, all these women have fake parts. None of them are 100% genuine..body, soul or mind. If Tamra is soooo worried about finances, maybe SHE should get a JOB!!! All these "Housewives" shows should be taken off the air. There is NO value to what oozes out of them. ABSOLUTELY WASTE OF AIR TIME AND MONEY!!! Again, I've only watched this show a few times. There's more brain power and authenticity in my sofa than these women and men on this show have. PATHETIC!!!

I have taken notice in the past several episodes that TAMRA is putting on a big show and acting as if her opinion is the only opinion that counts. She talks down GRETCHEN to no end and all she is really doing is showing how absolutely jealous she is!! It was such a joke when TAMRA met GRETCHEN for lunch and as they were chatting, TAMRA continued to say how this person and that person have been calling her about issues with GRETCHEN - - - why would anyone even call TAMRA about anything like that, or is she the show's psychiatrist now? It is udderly amazing of how many divorces have came about because of "reality tv". And what Vicki did for her husband was simply the most beautiful and precious a person could do for another - I think their marriage will go far.

I must admit I've watched all seasons and have seen the progression of insults and mean spiritness by Tamara to the highest this season. The bottom line is Tamara and Simon no longer TRUST each other. Several seasons ago when Tamara did work - she flirted shamelessly in order to make a sale - to the point where the buyer actually asked Jeanne to represent him instead. I think Simon doesn't trust her outside of the home. I do think he is controlling because of it. Look, these people are living in the 80's when men showed their wealth on the arms of their trophy wives and the women married for the money and attention. When money is tight, it no longer means the same and they look like fools. The truly real people with morals have left the show - Jeanne and Lori. Simon should divorce the mean spirited Tamara, but she will find it harder to find the sugar daddy in these times.

Simon controlled Tamara because he could.She either did what he said because of insecurity or fear. She felt fear of losing him or her lifestyle with him.As long as he controlled her he felt he would not lose her. Abuse either mental or physical usually has a thread of destroying a persons confidence in themselves.
Gretchen threatened Tamaras status as the Hottest house wife
So she proceeded to put out Tamaras fire as the newest housewife
She did to Gretchen what Simon did to her in her own abusive way
she felt she could keep control of her "Title" if you notice she is doing the same thing to the latest and newest house wife

You can see the Green eyed monster all over her.
All of these women are faced with What makes good television and just how can they the break out STAR. so they set out to create Gossip and Meaness and destruction to each other.
What a price to pay for a television show that will leave their lives in shambles when they get cancelled. Tamara better think about herself and how to support her life instead of having to please a man to exsist.
Tamara: Always be yourself because those who matter dont mind and those that mind dont matter.
I think Gretchen and Vicki live closest to that motto than any of them Good luck to you all after the curtain closes you will need it.

Hubby is running low on cash so the hoe is back on the prowl. I find funny she always wants to talk about how are people are trash and golddiggers. She needs to take a goog look in the mirror. I think simon should get full custody its not like she takes care of those kids anyway. I mean look at ryan when she got with simon her son didn't matter anymore...well not as much as simons money anyway. she needs to head back to the trailor park with her trashy self.

Simon sucks. No woman in her right mind would want him. He probably thinks women shouldn't have the right to vote either.
Actually there is a woman that deserves him-Tamra, they should stay together so they don't draw anyone else into their miserable, archaic lives.
And everyone here is correct, Don is a nice guy-good thing you woke up Vicki and didn't ruin it. Boy, do you need a few lesson's in treating friends and family better!!
