Fergie and Josh Duhamel Renew Wedding Vows

Josh Duhamel surprised his wife of nearly a year, Fergie, with a vow renewal ceremony Wednesday, UsMagazine.com has confirmed. "It was a total surprise for Fergie," a source says. Duhamel took her on a private helicopter from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara, Calif. and wed again at the luxe Bacara Resort & Spa. During their 15-minute ceremony, held on a bluff overlooking the ocean, Fergie was "crying and very emotional," a source tells Radar Online.

Another insider describes the moment to Us as "really romantic, great views of the Pacific, sunset ceremony." Afterward, the couple had a romantic dinner at the resort's upscale Miro eatery.

Their first year of marriage has been rocky after a stripper named Nicole Forrester alleged that she and Duhamel carried on an affair while he was shooting the comedy 'Life As We Know It,' a claim both Fergie and Duhamel have denied. A source tells the new issue of Us Weekly that enduring the ordeal actually made their marriage stronger.

No Janet, couples should not be renewing their vows daily. That smacks of the inability to make a concious adult decision, as if they're suffering from amnesia. Instead, they wed once and appreciate what they have and strive to respect it.

I hope that Josh and Fergie know that getting your marriage vows renewed the first year is really, really BAD luck! Maybe on the 2nd or 3rd anniversary, but never the first! My husband and I are going away in March (our anniversary month) and will renew our vows on the beach.. I'm not sure where I heard this, but what if it's true???? I wouldn't chance it. Josh is a player and I wouldn't trust him, even if he didn't have his penis!

Renewing vowels dailey is done simply by respecting and helping each other. You don't have to have a ceremony to do it.
Marriage isn't an easy path. you have to work at it. There are a lot of ups and downs. But if you weather the storm, it is worth it.

The article has it wrong - they married on January 10, 2009 so this was probably for their wedding anniversary. Not unlike Seal and Heidi Klum, who clearly are happy, so who are we to judge?

To Nay- Don't know how we did it to 61 years. But, it wasn't easy. Like I said , it takes a lot of biting your tongue and swallowing your pride.
