Fergie and Josh Duhamel Renew Wedding Vows
By PopEater Staff Posted Jan 10th 2010 09:05AM
Josh Duhamel surprised his wife of nearly a year, Fergie, with a vow renewal ceremony Wednesday, UsMagazine.com has confirmed. "It was a total surprise for Fergie," a source says. Duhamel took her on a private helicopter from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara, Calif. and wed again at the luxe Bacara Resort & Spa. During their 15-minute ceremony, held on a bluff overlooking the ocean, Fergie was "crying and very emotional," a source tells Radar Online.

Another insider describes the moment to Us as "really romantic, great views of the Pacific, sunset ceremony." Afterward, the couple had a romantic dinner at the resort's upscale Miro eatery.
Their first year of marriage has been rocky after a stripper named Nicole Forrester alleged that she and Duhamel carried on an affair while he was shooting the comedy 'Life As We Know It,' a claim both Fergie and Duhamel have denied. A source tells the new issue of Us Weekly that enduring the ordeal actually made their marriage stronger.

Really, not even a year and they have to renew vows ? I guess it will be 2 years and "time to lawyer up".

Sound like they are trying to convince themselves.

If the vows didn't stick the first time, what makes her think they will with the renewal. To some vows are just words without meaning.

Why is everyone negative about marriage and relationships? Not everyone feels the way you do!!

Didn't Jon and Kate have a vow renewal? And I seem to remember that Rod Stewart and Rachel Hunter did too. It's not looking too good for Fergie and Josh.

What is the matter with you people? A stripper claims something and it has to be true?? Yeah, they are very reputable, god, get a life money mongers.

If it wasn't true that he slept with that stripper, then he would have already sued her for slander.
Good luck to you guys.

Married 61 years and never had a renewl ceremony. Never had too. The first vows are for life. Renewals are for people who aren't sure and have a fake ceremony to make it look good.

Congrats to you Barb! My folks have also been married for 61 years. I agree with 100%! I wish you many more years with your loving spouse!
I respect the fact that you've had a great marriage for 61 years, but there's also nothing wrong with renewing your vows! In my opinion, married couples should be renewing their vows DAILY!! Way to go Josh and Fergie....best wishes!!!
Barb,
What is your secret to 61 years. I have been married for
22 and I thought that I had a good marriage and then my husband
decided 3 years ago to have an affair with a co-worker it only last for 7 months but it was a hard pill to swallow. I have stayed with him because I was raised that you make your marriage work also he was my highschool sweetheart and he was the first guy I really loved with all my heart. How do you do it??????
Nay
DAMN A WHOLE YEAR AND HE STILL HASN'T FIGURED OUT HE MARRIED A MAN. FERGIE IS SO FREAKISHLY UGLY!!!!

STAY TRUE TO YOUR VOWS OR DON'T GET MARRIED STAY A PLAYER IF THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT TO BE FIND ANOTHR PLAYER. NO ONE KNOWS IF HE CHEATED AND IT IS THEIR BUSINESS TO WORK IT OUR OR WALK AWAY NOT OURS.

Hate to sound so cynical, but this just sounds like the first step toward the inevitable divorce announcement to me. You know, the one where they say, "We still love and respect each other, and request that we be given our privacy at this difficult time." WHY do these people even bother to get married?
