'The Bachelor' star Jake Pavelka claims that contestant Rozlyn Papa's alleged relationship with a producer of the reality TV series hurt him. But we think it's more of a bruised ego than anything. How else would you explain a man who goes on dates with 25 women getting upset when one of them may have cheated?
According to ABC, Papa engaged affair with a 'Bachelor' staff member, and was subsequently kicked off. Papa herself vehemently denies a sexual relationship ever happened.
Pavelka addresses the issue in a blog for PEOPLE. "This is the first time I have been cheated on (to my knowledge) and man, it sucks," he reveals.
But before he makes you feel bad for him, the 'Bachelor' describes dating all the other women on the show -- causing us to scratch our heads. Isn't Jake being just a bit hypocritcal? We think so.
Jake dishes on dates he had during the episode, before pulling his "woe is me" routine. He writes about his feelings for Ali, Elizabeth and Michelle. "There is nothing cooler than being in a plane with a woman you really like and Ali is definitely a doll face," he muses.
"I was really impressed with Elizabeth when I met her. She is so pretty and cool and I absolutely respected the fact that she didn't want me to kiss her," he continues.
He adds, "Michelle is nothing but honest and sincere and man, she's really pretty too!"
But then comes the juicy stuff. He explains how Chris Harrison, the host, broke the news of Rozlyn's rumored dalliances to him.
When it happened, according to Pavelka, his "heart dropped and [he] felt numb." The reality TV Casanova admits that he "had started to develop feelings for Rozlyn" and that's why revelations of her alleged affair hurt him.
Quick to recover, the 'Bachelor' star reminds himself he still has 14 other women who want him. We bet the pain from Rozyln's reported betrayal doesn't feel as bad now, does it Jake?
The series follows 25 women fighting for the attention of one man. He chooses between the girls by going on separate dates with each, and handing out roses at the end of each episode. None of the women complain that they are getting cheated on, but when the tables are turned, the man gets upset? That doesn't fly.
You can't string along several different women, then cry foul when one of them is "unfaithful." You're not committed to each other, you're only committed to a TV show. So man up and move on. Like you say, Jake, there are plenty of other contestants hoping to catch your eye.
C'mon, she's got a rap sheet. Now we wait for the Payboy spread. Isn't that how these things usually go? This show is not about finding love. Its about getting your exposure, fame and money. Anyone who thinks otherwise, is just foolish. Its scripted reality TV people.
There's no cheating when they aren't a couple and he's allowed to go off with every girl there and spend time and suck face. If she's cheating then so is he. dumb
Hmmmmmm, sorry Michael but you seem to know a lot about the show. Could you also be one of the "losers" that watch or did you just stumble upon this site by accident.
If I remember correctly, Disney owns ABC, so this must be wholesome family entertainment.
Given the track record of this show, it is not about finding love, it is scripted entertainment performed by B rated actors.
Just remember their weekly, worn out, catch phrases. "The most dramatic episode ever." "The most dramatic rose ceremony ever." "The most dramatic ... ever."
Well, they had to script something to keep the drama going.
ROZ you are my heroine! You went to the show to have fun, tolerated what already appear to be psychotic women, and had fun. You appear far more stable than the rest of the group....and will enjoy notoriety in the end. CONGRATS!
This show couldn't be more hypocritical. I cannot believe for one second that this guy has trouble finding dates and nice girls on his own. He does not need a show to do that. It is strictly entertainment, with a bunch of whorey girls who want to get into the pants of one whorey guy. The stats of this show in regard to who is actually still seeing each other, married or engaged are dismal. Most of the guys are still single years later because that is what they want to be.
Any girl that would stoop so low as to throw herself on a guy, on public television no less, is not only desperte but a true loser.
Sorry but these women knew why they were there and what was supposed to happen. They knew he would be dating 25 women. They knew they were there to fall in love. And she fed him hook line and sinker. She knew what she was doing. she's no dummy. Sorry but she was in the wrong!!!
25 broads at once???? I thought I was doing good back in the seventies by juggling two!!! This guy is getting more butt than a toilet seat! It tires me out just contemplating it!
ENOUGH, this bachelor/bachelorette stuff is SO annoying. who cares about a bunch of bimbos vying for some egomaniac. it's all a bunch of crap! there is so much more to life. the last one was all over the news because he dumps one for the other. this mindless stuff is not saying much for the powers that be when this is all they can think of to put on the air? not to mention the airheads who watch this crap?
I think Jake is a great genuine guy with values, morals and education. He seems to respect the girls as he searches in hopes he may find Miss right.Roselyn made herself look cheap by her own actions. She admitted the actions with this other guy hours before she was to meet the bachelor. She only wanted to be on TV for the fame and glamour. Now the world knows how easy and cheap Roselyn is. And how quickly she would hope into bed with a person she just met. She actually did Jake a favor, being exposed so soon.Jake deserves a decent girl with values and morls as well.
This is the silliest thing in the world-well, on American TV. Wasn't it last season when "The Bachelor" picked the love of his life only to dump her for other 'real true' love of his life? Then I hear this season a woman who has barely got off the plane, who has hardly had time to change her knickers is being thrown off for having sex with a crew member-while Jake is in a hot tub or doing whatever these men do with with a boatload of women-and Please do not insult women with the "I'm hurt"line, or rather his 'heart dropped'and he 'felt numb' because he was 'beginning to have feelings for her'. Excuse me, but didn't this show just begin a couple of weeks ago. I caught the part of one show where all the girl's were introduced (and I was horrified by the terrible lines they came up with to engage him, whatever happened to "hello, my name is so and so, it's a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you in the future," shake hands and out. I really have no idea what such lovely women are doing on this humiliating show except hoping for some yelevision exposure.
Do any of you really watch the show? There is a big difference in what Jake is doing and what Roz did to him! All of these girls go on this show KNOWING that they will all be going on dates with him and getting to know him better. Roz told Jake that she was there for ONLY him.. so how does this other guy fit in? She was being deceitful. Everything about this show may not be real, but some things are.. we've seen actual couples that got together because of this show and now are married and even have kids.. so it's not all fake.
Goodbye and good riddance, Roslyn! I'm calling it for Ali--have from the first airing of this season's Bachelor. They seem to be "made for each other". The others are simply unnecessary distractions. GAME OVER!
What a silly mommy! Katie Holmes takes Suri into the water in her clothes as the two spend the afternoon at the beach in Miami. More of Today's Hottest Photos
