'The Bachelor' star Jake Pavelka claims that contestant Rozlyn Papa's alleged relationship with a producer of the reality TV series hurt him. But we think it's more of a bruised ego than anything. How else would you explain a man who goes on dates with 25 women getting upset when one of them may have cheated?
According to ABC, Papa engaged affair with a 'Bachelor' staff member, and was subsequently kicked off. Papa herself vehemently denies a sexual relationship ever happened.
Pavelka addresses the issue in a blog for PEOPLE. "This is the first time I have been cheated on (to my knowledge) and man, it sucks," he reveals.
But before he makes you feel bad for him, the 'Bachelor' describes dating all the other women on the show -- causing us to scratch our heads. Isn't Jake being just a bit hypocritcal? We think so.
Jake dishes on dates he had during the episode, before pulling his "woe is me" routine. He writes about his feelings for Ali, Elizabeth and Michelle. "There is nothing cooler than being in a plane with a woman you really like and Ali is definitely a doll face," he muses.
"I was really impressed with Elizabeth when I met her. She is so pretty and cool and I absolutely respected the fact that she didn't want me to kiss her," he continues.
He adds, "Michelle is nothing but honest and sincere and man, she's really pretty too!"
But then comes the juicy stuff. He explains how Chris Harrison, the host, broke the news of Rozlyn's rumored dalliances to him.
When it happened, according to Pavelka, his "heart dropped and [he] felt numb." The reality TV Casanova admits that he "had started to develop feelings for Rozlyn" and that's why revelations of her alleged affair hurt him.
Quick to recover, the 'Bachelor' star reminds himself he still has 14 other women who want him. We bet the pain from Rozyln's reported betrayal doesn't feel as bad now, does it Jake?
The series follows 25 women fighting for the attention of one man. He chooses between the girls by going on separate dates with each, and handing out roses at the end of each episode. None of the women complain that they are getting cheated on, but when the tables are turned, the man gets upset? That doesn't fly.
You can't string along several different women, then cry foul when one of them is "unfaithful." You're not committed to each other, you're only committed to a TV show. So man up and move on. Like you say, Jake, there are plenty of other contestants hoping to catch your eye.
Just like every other man on earth, they all want more then one woman. maybe not at once but when they want more they seek. and some woman do the same as well.. There are more women in the world...The older woman without her man cuz he with a younger woman now and on and on.. Then we have a show were the amazing looking woman are all going for one guy, what for the money, fame? they are fools for doing it. and they make people look shameful. This country is just trying to desensitize people from seeing men with two women so that they can eventually have more then one wife...The USA men say to USA women " oh do you want to live some place where woman dont have a choices? and be part of a hierm? "no". but at least they know the truth. not like men that say they are with one woman, and then cheat all over the place cuz they have money, so gold diggers throw themselves at them, and hey what does it matter they have money so they think they should have whatever they want. who cares if it hurts their wife and family... and people with no money do it to... basic respect is the same for ALL people...it just that The good looking rich just think they look better doing it.loll
Take your Medicine Jake!!! This is a great thing to teach young women, show them how not to have feelings, and all try for the same guy.. as if there is chemisty with all of them, BS.. YOU Date some because you have REAL FEELINGS FOR THEM.. ITS NOT a GAME SHOW!!!!!
Not sure why he was picked to be the bachelor in the first place, yeah he's good looking but what a freakin dork, could you not see from the other show that he was a pansy and a totally creepy stalker? No one wants someone who needs to have that much attention, and is that emotional all the time.
I don't think he is a hypocrite. I do think the term being "cheated" on is a bit off key. However, I believe that Jake is truly trying to find his wife and expects the women on the show to take the process very seriously. He trusted that Roz was serious with her interest in him. She clearly was more interested in "winning" something vs. finding love. The true deceit in all of this is women who are actually in it for the right reason. I believe the show capitalized on a situation for ratings. Jake should be thankful that he discovered Roz's true feelings before the show went too far.
Ok. look, for any women to go on a TV show and expect to find love and romance your lieing to your self that only happens 1 time is how many shows. I like Trish and Ryan, they are the only couple that have ever lasted. These others are only out for the guys money or 15 seconds of fame. If a guy has to pick from a pretty girl to a pretty girl, he is just as fake as she is. Women who are on the show are fake..Get a real life and find a guy that will like you for YOU not your looks. "Looks can fade, money can go.. and your left with what.. the right person for you. Look inside a person NOT just the out.(and yes, I do have a real man who loves me for me.)
Jake actually did have a kissing session with Roz. He also gave her the first rose.(on week 2) I doubt he was in love but he certainly thought she was there for him. Even if she did not have sex with someone else, it is taudry that she was even flirting with a guy on the show. Like flirting with your best friends girl/boyfriend. She knew this was national TV. She was certainly showing her ta ta's and cha cha acording to Christine.
I believe parts of the show are scripted, but I don't think that this was. I say that because of the way Chris spoke and Roz's reaction and body language. She had a look in her eyes of surprise and embarassment because she knew she was busted.
I watched this show, and was sick of hearing these girls scream! Where they were going on their next date...etc...they all stood there screaming!!! HOW inmature!! It made me ill. I honestly might not continue watching if all these scream like their in high school!!
What woman is so desperate for a man that she's willing to be "sloppy seconds" to anyone? How DARE a woman flaunt, primp, and parade herself in front of a man (and millions of people) just to get a man?
I don't live up to anyone's standards but my own. I have never had to degrade myself or be in a contest to get a man..because I don't NEED one in my life, and I don't want one that badly to humiliate myself to get one. When I want a man in my life, I get one. There are plenty out there who meet my standards.
This guy is a joke. Whomever winds up with him had better have a good therapist waiting.
The girls put themselves in this situation purposely, so how is he cheating on any of them? He's not. The dates are part of the contest that the women are willingly participating in so they are not being cheated on. I don't think he's being a hypocrite at all, but he is definitely seeking out all of the attention he can get for it.
The producers are setting up for the next season of "The Bachlorette" ... They will find that the info received which booted Roz off the show was not accurate -- and give her the star spot on "Bachlorette" to make up for it ...
I watched this tv show exactly once......and quickly determined that it was useless fluff and unfit for any thinking individual. Those of you who can be entertained by abysmal programming like this should not try walking and breathing simultaneously. I have a feeling that attempting both would overload your brain stem functions.
What a silly mommy! Katie Holmes takes Suri into the water in her clothes as the two spend the afternoon at the beach in Miami. More of Today's Hottest Photos
