David Letterman 'Not Worried About Jay, He'll Land on His Chin'

Long-suffering employees of NBC weren't the only late-night practitioners to weigh in on LenO'BrienGate. We also heard from CBS's David Letterman, who stands to lose some of his new-found audience when Jay Leno bumps Conan O'Brien from 11:35 p.m. in a couple of months. Some of His Zingers:

• "Well, ladies and gentlemen, once again, I did not get 'The Tonight Show'."

• "I'm a little worried about Conan. I'm not worried about Jay, he'll land on his chin, he always does."

• "That's not all, listen to this: today, NBC announced that they are bringing back Johnny Carson and they're putting him on at 10 p.m."

• "Because of all of this chaos, this is what's on NBC right now," and the shot cuts to a video feed of Don King and Charles Grodin sitting at a fold-up table. Watch the Video After the Jump

I kind of like the idea of King and Grodin taking over the NBC slot. It would be an improvement. Someone's head should be rolling in the executive suite at 30 Rock for this little fiasco, not Leno's or Conan's.
Just glad that Dave now has a new whipping boy and can get off of Sarah Palin for a while.

Geeze.... are they really bringing back Carson, Dave? Funny thing is,if they would show Carson reruns and I'd watch those before I would watch two bald headed morons trading inside jokes as if they're actually funny like you and that idiot Schaffer do. Seems to me that Letterman will only fall on one of his female staffers, or so it would seem. Please, when Letterman says something funny will someone let us know. If he would spend more time telling jokes, and less time poking at REAL people in the news he would be much better off. This guy is pathetic.

They're all BORING! Except Craig Ferguson! He's the real successor to Johnny Carson. Ferguson has me in stitches every night. Kimmel, Fallon, O'Brien and now (dont know why) Leno are all AWFUL AND BORING! Television IS a wasteland of talentless boring people. Ferguson is a breah of fresh air, makes me laugh out loud, and is the most fun on tv! Actually, he's the only thing on all of tv, thats worth watching at all.
