Is Tiger Woods Being Treated for Sex Addiction?

PEOPLE suggests Tiger has checked in. X17 has been saying it for weeks now. But wouldn't we know for sure if Tiger had walked through the doors at exclusive Arizona addiction treatment facility, The Meadows?

Not necessarily. The Meadows doesn't announce any of its guests. But we were informed when fellow wayward celebs David Duchovny and Eric Benet sought sex addiction help. Isn't the publicity kind of the point?

Rumors first surfaced last month that Tiger had checked himself into an Arizona treatment facility. Some said he was recovering from facial reconstructive surgery for an injury incurred during the Nov. 27 car accident. Others said the injury was caused when Elin Nordegren slammed him in the mouth with a 9-iron after finding out about Rachel Uchitel. Others still said there was no noticible injury at all, but Tiger had checked in to seek treatment for an addiction to painkillers.

On Tuesday PEOPLE reported Tiger had checked into the Wickenburg, Arizona abuse clinic The Meadows, citing an anonymous "sex-therapy expert who claims to be familiar with the situation." According to the source, Tiger walked through the doors around New Years and "should be out by Valentine's Day."

For those unfamiliar with sex therapy, that means Tiger will spend a month-and-a-half of celibacy, his waking hours engaged in heartfelt talk with other guys who can't say no to sex.

And according to X17, at The Meadows "everyone has to wear a color-coded nametag that signifies what you're in for. You wear it 24/7 so everyone knows exactly what your poison is from the minute they lay eyes on you."

But not everyone thinks Tiger is necessarily addicted to sex. Dr. Drew Pinsky tells PEOPLE that Tiger "seems to be maintaining relationships" with his mistresses, "not just having sex with them."

Pinsky suggests Woods' best shot at recovering emotionally and professionally is if "his wife not break up with him and that she get involved in the treatment process."

The TV doc doesn't suggest what's best for Nordegren.

We'll give our own advice.

I know alot of people who are willing to even mention this subject feel that Tiger should've never married in the first place, and shouldn't be married now if he still wants to continue like he has been...ah..."behind closed doors." No one wants to blame the wife, but alot of people are also understanding of Tiger, for some reason...No one I know is slamming him for his indescretions. More people I know are slamming the press for not leaving he & his wife alone during this difficult process. They deserve their privacy, as I think.., Tiger deserves his, inside & out of golf.

I do believe what you are saying is true. If it is an issue it should be resolved between Tiger and his wife, without the media involvement. The media shoud respect the privacy of Tiger Woods and his wife.

Tiger will do what is best for himself and his family. My question is why is he lettinng his wife get away with being an abusivve wife ? Covering up for her is not helping her or the kids. She will in time abuse the kids if she does not get some help for her self.

I think people are finally beginning to realize Tiger has an abusive wife, which would drive him out of the house. I would question any man,s wife who chased him with a golf club and smashed in a wndow trying to get at him. Maybe we should look at what kind of a wife she was. Not so much of a bad husband he was. He was evidently in a panic when he took off runnng. Why if she was not an abusive wfe ? I would run too.

If Tiger,s wife was being the wife she should have been, this would not be all over the media. Being pretty does not make for being a good wife. There is always too sides to every story. Dnt worry Tiger, there are plenty of us behind you and cannot wait till you are back on the greens a happy man.

I don't believe a word about Tiger having sex adiction treatments. He is a virile young man, why would he? Few have questioned what drove him to other women. Blond hair and blue eyes don't not mean his wife was anywhere near perfect. Personally, I would place Elin at very near the bottom on the list of beauty. Most whites believe she is a goddess but through black eyes, she is mediocre at best.

It is too late for Tiger Woods to work on his marriage and or his tarnished reputation. The man is a PIG! If this were a woman, everyone would be calling her a whore. There is such a double standard in this country. Tiger Woods is a whore! He deserves no sympathy from anyone. He is a public figure therefore his indiscretions are open to the public. If he cared so much about his family, his friends, his fans, and his reputation, he would have never put himself and them in this situation. I have zero sympathy for this disgusting SOB. His wife on the other hand, I had sympathy for and supported her when I believed she was divorcing him. That being said, now reports say she may be willing to work things out with him? Are you serious? He didn't just cheat once, he cheated multiple times with multiple women that lasted for years at a time. Once a pig, always a pig. Leave him, Elin. You can do better! You and your children deserve better! Be strong, stand up for yourself and send this sorry excuse for a husband and father a strong message by hanging him out to dry, literaly!
