Rihanna 'Completely Shut Down' After Chris Brown Attack

Rihanna graces the cover of this months
W magazine, and talks about being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, R&B star Chris Brown.
"At first I completely shut down. But now I feel like this happened to me so I could be a voice for young girls who are going through what I went through and don't know how to talk about it. It's not about Chris, about hurting him or sabotaging his career. I don't care about that part of it," she tells W.
The 'Umbrella' singer also talks about her new album and recording an emotional song.

Her new album: "This was a different type of record for me. It was really personal; it was for me in the most authentic way. It's like a movie in that when I was making the album, every day I was in a different mood. Sometimes I was pissed off, sometimes I was miserable, and every song brings out a different story."
Finishing 'The Last Song,' was emotional for her: "When the label finally said we had 12 hours to turn in the album, I was like, 'Okay, I have to do it.' I just drank some red wine, dimmed the lights, got in the booth and sang it."

She really needs to let it go. She is not a role model to anyone. Just as everyone expected Chris Brown to walk away from her aggression, why couldn't she stop being aggressive? She needs to do what he is doing, stay away from the media for a while and let people remember them for their talent and not their problems. She is just as guilty as he. She's taking advantage of the situation and benefiting from it. She claims she wants to put the past behind her and move forward, well she's not going to because it's too beneficial. If she's using all this drama to attrack attention and earn money, she's manipulating the media, fans, real victims from abuse, the total industry, etc. Why should we believe and support her story and ignore or not support the other victim, Chris Brown?

Geez! Don't you have a new boyfriend too already... just move on because all of what you are doing is nothing more but a publicity stunt in hope of selling a million records.

Plus there is so much more going on in the world and all this female can really do is sit here and keep talking about this situation. Use your popularity for something more positve like to raise awareness about one of the a million problems in the world.

Enough when will she stop the madness. A role she isn't walking around naked, tatooed up this is not how I want my little girl to walk around looking. How much attention does she need? Yet everytime you turn around someone is trying to pull Chris Brown down because he got involved with the wrong woman. Can I get a witness because its 2 sides to every story.

I have read repeated blogs on the Chris and Rihanna story and really I have to say some of you guys have a misunderstanding about life...I am a young woman who is now divorced but I have never had my husband hit on me but nor have I ever hit on him we have 3 count them 3 daughters and I have alwasys raised my daughters NEVER! hit someone that you don't want to hit you back I don't care who it is do you people honestly believe that it is ok for a woman to hit a man just because she didn't like something to heard, read or eve saw I think now and what would we as a nation be teaching our young men and women that women can be hit but men cant and that just because he is a man he is suppose to take your abuse REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I now that there are abusive men out there and I am never to say that he was right because he wasn't but neither was she and until we stop saying she did nothing wrong we or for a better word you are telling young ladies everywhere they can slap their boyfriends punch and kick and its ok. If you hear all of the things that happened everytime she struck him there was a slap and he pushed her she hit him again and he slammed the car and broke the window when is enough enough people stop agruing with 2 wrongs. We live in a word where people make mistake and they learn from them and for any of you who may be in just a little bit in GOD remember jesus died for our sins and we asked to be forgiven and if you cant forgive and move on hope you don't except the same on judgement day.

This is too petty.
Domestic violence is a no no for both counts.
So Rihanna is not innocent either.
I say Zee is speaking the undeniable truth.
Everyone needs to read her post over and over again.
Rihanna is viewed as an object,
so when men are like Chris is soft,
they were already mad because they wanted to "tap that."
And i think this is sort of racial too.
Its mostly white people hating on chris and calling him a douche bag.
One way to keep a black individual down right?
Stop feeding into the loop.
Chris will be Chris.
Rihanna will be rihanna.
They're musical talents,
do not correlate with their personal lives.
