Couples We Can't Wait to See on the Red Carpet

The Golden Globes are mere days away. The Critics' Choice Awards are tonight. The Screen Actors Guild Awards are next weekend. And the Oscars are just over a month and a half from now!
While there are some fantastic movies nominated ('Up in the Air,' 'A Single Man' and 'Precious' to name a few,) we all know the most exciting part of these shows is the red carpet. More specifically, the gorgeous and stylish couples that grace it. And this year, there are several fabulous pairs we simply just can't wait to see!
The Eye Candy: George Clooney and the Hot Brunette He's Dating
It's a running joke in Hollywood -- okay, everywhere -- that George Clooney will forever be a bachelor. Each time he starts dating someone new, everyone gets all excited and wonders if she's going to be the one to crack Clooney's code. And time and time again, the movie star turns up single. His current lady friend, the stunning Elisabetta Canalis, has been joining him at movie premieres and film festivals since September. And with all of Clooney's nominations for his lead role in the film, 'Up in the Air,' the big question is: will he or won't he bring his latest leading lady to all the shows? Assuming these two are still going strong, we're guessing she'll make the cut and escort him this season. We hope so-the salt-and-pepper whiskered movie star and his stylish and enchanting date sure make one dapper duo!

When was the last time Jesse James accompanied his wife Sandra Bullock on the red carpet? Exactly. It's pretty rare for the infamously private host of 'Motorcycle Mania' to join his wife while she promotes her movies. But we're guessing (and hoping) that this year is a little different. For the first time ever, Bullock is getting major Oscar buzz; and that's in addition to Golden Globe and SAG nominations. So if this spunky brunette ends up (finally) getting an Academy Award nomination, we're really hoping her tattooed knight-in-shining armor escorts her down the carpet -- because, really, who doesn't love a publicity-shy couple coming out to play on Oscar night?
America's Sweethearts: Emily Blunt and John Krasinski
Everyone, and we mean everyone, fell in love with John Krasinski (Jim) during the first few seasons of 'The Office.' There was simply no girl good enough for this super cute, floppy-haired actor who popped out of nowhere. And then, all of a sudden, he began dating the bitchy-yet-lovable assistant from 'The Devil Wear Prada,' Emily Blunt. And collectively, everyone signed in agreement: yes, this pair works! A year and an engagement ring later, the couple is still going strong. And best of all? The lovely Ms. Blunt is nominated for a Golden Globe for 'The Young Victoria.' And what does that mean? The young, hip, and witty couple will be hitting at least one major red carpet event together. And we'll be waiting on the edge of our couch for the Ryan Seacrest interview with this delightful duo.
The Reigning Royalty: Brad and Angelina
With Brad's latest movie, 'Inglourious Basterds,' nominated for both a Golden Globe, we assumed he'd be attending. Not So, and we are shocked! Even so, we still have the SAGs and Oscars to look forward to, and if we're lucky, his good luck charm, Angelina, will accompany him. With his nominations and her new movie, 'Salt,' hitting theaters later this year, this just might be the perfect storm needed to get the power couple out for a night on the town. We hope so -- we're dying to see the reigning king and queen of the red carpet!
