Video: Sherri Shepherd Compares Treatment of Charlie Sheen and Chris Brown

Sherri Shepherd wondered aloud why Charlie Sheen wasn't treated as badly in the press as Chris Brown and her 'View' colleagues began talking over each other immediately.

"It seems kind of funny that Chris Brown is 19 and deserved a second chance," said Shepherd.

"I don't think that anyone who lays a hand on a woman deserves any second chance at all," shouts back Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Watch Below:

"It may be with Chris Brown that they had proof positive that he put his hands on someone," says Whoopi Goldberg before shouting that she has "no idea what the hell happened" with the Sheens on Christmas day.

Sherri put your race card away. The brown, rhianna case is NOT sheens case. sheen will get his due, but this sounds like two drunks, that don't know when to stop. childrens services and domestic violence advocates need sheen's case.He goes to court in Feb. so save the "poor chris brown" is black, OK star jones jr.?

The reason Chris Brown got thrown under the bus is because he hit another celebrity. Someone well known in the industry and with her own fan base. There have been MANY celebrities involved in domestic issues and NO ONE EVER CARES -- including other celebrities. Everyone cared and treats CB like a pariah because he hit "one of them." If the EXACT same thing had gone down but it had been some VIDEO GIRL or groupie chick, no one would have talked about it for more than a week.

Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck are constantly annoying the audience with their rantings devoid of substance. When asked what she meant, Sherri could only say, "that it seemed kind of funny... and he deserves a second chance." Then Hasselbeck in her typical and judgmental and condescending way says "anyone who lays a hand on a woman does not deserve a second chance." - without regard of the countless men who endure spousal abuse. They so need to be right all the time that they are not able to even consider that not all of us are as lucky as they both are! I certainly believe that they are overpaid for whatever it is they do, and they are not worth watching.

I kinda like Sherri Shepherd but I don't like that she seems to eat miss Hassleback up. Elizabeth is a disgrace to the View. It used to be my favorite show in the mornings, but I have to make myself watch now because of that blabber mouth Elisabeth, she thinks she knows everything, but really what does she ever say (that you can understand) that makes any sense. I wish there was some way to keep her from puting out President down all the time, I am a democrate and love it and not ashamed t tell any one, he is awesome and is doing a great job miss hassleback.

but he got it even worse because he did it to another superstar..
with all this said i totally understand what sheri was trying to say
he needs to be punished but at the same time he is only 19 he has a lot of room to learn & grow from his mistake and the opportunity to help other kids with anger issues..
i believe chris deserves a second chance...

I think CB was treated harshly because a star that millions of people idolized was beaten. They saw what can happen and does happen to many women regardless of status or fame....Whoopie got this one right. We don't know what happened in Sheens home but I can tell you those two are dysfunctional and should stay apart until they get a lot of professional help.

If Ms. Hasselbeck considers herself a Christian as I have heard her say previously, she is REQUIRED by her faith in God to forgive Chris Brown.

There is a double standard with this situation so far. Chris Brown admitted his involvement in the assault days before the photo was leaked. While Charlie only denies grabbing a knife. It was also reported that Sophia Mueller's neck had red marks from Charlie Sheen holding her by the throat, so there is proof which is why he was held in jail on x-mas day and a protective order was placed against him. Charlie Sheen has multiple events of assaulting women sexually or physically stemming from the 80s and 90s but keeps getting a pass by the industry. Also CSI: Miami's Jonathan Togo was arrested for domestic violence in December too but that is all kept very quiet.
