Drew Barrymore 'Screwed Up So Hard' By Forgetting Boyfriend Justin Long

Drew Barrymore is the latest celebrity in the forget-the-date speech doghouse. The actress was so shocked on the winner's podium of the Golden Globes, that she neglected to mention her date, on-again off-again boyfriend Justin Long, in her speech. This after she kissed him before heading up on the stage.

"I screwed up so hard in my speech," a temporarily horrified Barrymore said backstage. She admitted she was not prepared for a victory in the Best Supporting Actress category for 'Grey Gardens'. "I think Mo'Nique said it best, you just don't want to know or think or assume you would ever win something."

Don't worry Justin, you were in good company. She also forgot to mention her Grey Gardens co-star Jessica Lange.

Backstage she made amends with a brief re-creation of her speech. Barrymore told Lange (who was not present, but you get the idea): "I wish that I could split this award in half."

She also threw Long a bone: "And I have a great date thank you, Justin, he's been making me laugh all night."

so what if Drew flubbed her speech.Maybe she was nervous or overwhelmed.Give the girl a break! Drew is an exceptional actress and a sweetheart so find someone else to pick on!

I feel we have far more serious issues at hand. The Golden Globes really don't mean much when the people of Haiti are dealing with life & death & our economy is in the toilet. It would be great if the money spent on award shows could go for a good cause, instead of us worrying about who is wearing what & who is dating who! My answer is WHO CARES about their outfits & love lifes. Lets care about people who need our help.

Yet another episode in the never-ending game of "Gotcha." If one does not expect to win, would it not be unspeakably gauche to get a speech ready? Drew Barrymore did nothing that hurt anybody, I'd about bet, but here she is at the center of the finger-pointing that never ends. Give me strength - and send money for Haitian relief!
