Mother of 'Teen Mom' Arrested Over Choking Incident

Farrah Abraham, one of the stars of MTV's 'Teen Mom,' was allegedly assaulted by her mother Saturday during an argument at their home in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Debra Danielson, 54, was arrested following the incident, the according to various media reports. According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Danielson tossed an MTV t-shirt at her 19-year-old daughter, but it landed "on or near" Abraham's infant, who began to cry.

At that, they began arguing about, among other things, childcare and Danielson reportedly grabbed Abraham by the throat and during the struggle struck her on the head and mouth.

Police observed multiple cuts on Abraham and Danielson was arrested for domestic abuse / serious assault. TMZ has the mug shot.

Abraham, a former cheerleader, is one of four teens featured in 'Teen Mom,' which chronicles the struggles of young mothers. Her baby, Sophia, and Danielson are seen on the show.

I'm 19 and I watch teen mom all the time on MTV and Farrah is the worst mom on the show. She argues way too much with her parents even after they watch Sophia when she decides she wants to go out every night and party and have a "social life". She needs to realize that when she got pregnant she was taking on a huge responsibility and should not put it on her parents. Farrah's mom had no right to assult her daughter but I can understand how fed up she was with all Farrah's disrespectfulness towards her. Farrah really needs a reality check!

I like Farrah. I think you guys need to cut her some slack. She is dealing w/a lot at a young age. Yes, she made the mistake of getting pregnant-but it takes two to tango. We've all made mistakes. She kept her child and she's trying to learn as she goes. That's part of her mothers responsibility. Her mother is a control freak and thinks just b/c Farrah is 19 and a mother herself, that she doesn't need to help and guide her daughter anymore. Mothering doesn't stop when your child turns a certain age, moves out or has their own child. Although Sophia's father already decided not to be a part of her life from the start, Farrah is still dealing w/the loss of her daughter's father. Regardless of their relationship before he died, that's a lot of stress to deal with at any age. Cut her some slack!

I agree! Being a Teen Mom is hard! Yeah is is a spoiled Brat ,but her parents made her that way! Her mom is a control freak and needs to let her live and learn! People make mistakes but that is life! I like the show and watch it with my daughters! Maci is my favorite and Amber is my least favorite! I give them all props!

I really enjoy watching that show, but when Farrah is on I can't stand it. That little girl doesn't know how to raise a child, she's spoiled and gets whatever she wants and doesn't care about Sophia. Even her friends say things to her, but all she says is "I'm 18 I can do whatever I want I'm not a child". Yea right sweetie grow the hell up and take responsiblity for what happend. I don't think her mom should have been arrested, Farrah got what she deserved.

I watch the show... Farrah does need to grow up. She always wants her time to be a teen but she needs to realize when you have a baby all the fun you once had going out for hours & etc stops. If you werent ready to have a baby then you shouldve used protection.. gee thats why there is so many to choose from.

At the same time Farrahs mother is a nasty woman sometimes. I dont feel she had any right to choke her daughter. You want to slap her up side the head ok fine but choking is a bit much.

This show is corny; the mother of Farrah is a nutcase and is most likely responsible for Farrah growing up to be be the way she is. Farrah is a horrible parent, but she obviously wasn't raised right, so they both are to blame.

I definetly dont think drama is a good thing especially if there is a child in the home but Farrah is the damn reason for the drama. Its not that she had a baby young but its the obvious fact that she is a spolied BRAT and very very disrespectful towards her family. They raised a brat n now she takes advantage of her parents. They are trying to help her with Sophia but she is rude to them and thinks she knows it all in life when in reality she is niave and spoiled. She is in for a rude awakeing if she contnues to put her self first and look for a man. I think its so sad when girls like her think that they have to have a boyfriend when really she is so desperae and needs to settle her fast ass down.She needs to focuse on sophia and going to school and working an quit pushing people who have her best interest at heart away.FYI Miss Farrah,guys dont like needy girls they prefer to take home to mama a girl who has her own meaning miss independent not miss desperate. As for her mother, choking is not okay and beating especially to your child but honey im sure it was hard not to snap on farrah long time ago n i dont blame ya. Let the girl learn her lesson and kick her out. remember she not in highschool anymore and since she really wants 2 be grown kick her out and make her take care of HER baby.its called Tough Love. use it pleeezzzz... she been takin care of far too long by you and michael. And her lil "friend" Alli or whatever need to grow up too because if farrah was my friend i would give her sum friendly advice and let her know that no more tryin to be grown but still do childish things. Seen the show and she should have been hit long time ago. She doesnt hardly have her child, the mother and father takes care of the baby. She also talk back to them and disrespect them. Kick her out.

From what I hear, the father died in a car accident while Farrah was still pregnant.

Did you see her on "Teen Mom"?? Holy crap I would have beat the sh*t out of her too. She is nothing but a spoiled a s s brat that spread her legs way to young before she was ready for the responsibility of a child!
She still thought she could party and just have her parents watch her child. Honey not in the real world!!

I have followed both seasons of this show. Farrah and her mother are very alike, which is probably why they fight as they do. Farrah is definitely incredibly disrespectful and should be shown the door; she needs to get out of there and see if she can take care of herself. Debra IS incredibly overbearing, and it's too bad their fight is getting the publicity it is...but know what? I bet it's not their first physical fight!

If this were my child I would have smacked her in the mouth a long time ago. The way she treats her parents is terrible. They have done nothing but provide for her and her child yet she does nothing to try to help herself or be responsible for her child.
Its a tough world out there, the family should stop supporting her in every way. Maybe she will learn some respect and appreciation for them.

I was WAITING for that to happen. That girl is a nightmare to her child and her parents. It's too bad..they arrested the WRONG one. I've watched the show and all I could think of is...Gee..I hope that a CPS worker watches how this girl does EVERYTHING except raise her child. It was her choice to have sex, to KEEP the baby...Sorry for her...TIME to grow up! Her parents have put up with TOO much. I would have kicked her butt to the curb LONG ago.
