Mother of 'Teen Mom' Arrested Over Choking Incident

Farrah Abraham, one of the stars of MTV's 'Teen Mom,' was allegedly assaulted by her mother Saturday during an argument at their home in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Debra Danielson, 54, was arrested following the incident, the according to various media reports. According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Danielson tossed an MTV t-shirt at her 19-year-old daughter, but it landed "on or near" Abraham's infant, who began to cry.

At that, they began arguing about, among other things, childcare and Danielson reportedly grabbed Abraham by the throat and during the struggle struck her on the head and mouth.

Police observed multiple cuts on Abraham and Danielson was arrested for domestic abuse / serious assault. TMZ has the mug shot.

Abraham, a former cheerleader, is one of four teens featured in 'Teen Mom,' which chronicles the struggles of young mothers. Her baby, Sophia, and Danielson are seen on the show.

wow....I can't believe the trashing of this young girl....I saw her mother hit her before ...in the car....this girl should not be getting slapped around by anyone....i wonder how much beatings she got while growing up...no...She is young and does like to party but she loves her baby......I feel sorry for her whole situation...Someone has to help her get an education so she can provide for the baby....dah,grandma...why not.I have 2 grownup sons and would love to have a daughter in my older years.I just don't understand why mothers and daughters fight so much....Its a shame..

I remember when she got smacked in the car, because she wanted her mother to buy her a car and her mother told her no. I was listening to Farrah and I felt the urge to slap her as well. When her mother did it and it felt so right.

That girl is out of control.
Even the guy she was seeing asked her if she had a baby, where is it. Than she got upset, but it was good question because it was like 2:00am in the morning.

i watch that show and if she was my daughter she woulda got her ass beat a lot more then that let them lock me up but i will make sure i kick her ass spoiled lil biotch she makes me sick wanna go out and be a teen girl u got a baby ur a mom now

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Yes, Farrah is a spoiled brat...but look who raised her to be that. Violence should never be condoned, as violence begets violence. The odds are that the baby will also end up pregnant, spoiled and violent by aged 16. The kid doesn't have a chance. She should be plucked from that environment and placed for adoption. "Mothers" Farrah and Debra need counseling. Big time.

She deserved it!!!!! I got pregnant with my first child when I was 17 and we lived with my mom. I can tell you if I would have ever disrespected or cursed my mom the way she does I would have been picking myself off of the floor. Her mom should have bet her butt a long time ago!

The problem with alot of these teen moms is their parents were reluctant to discipline during their formative years. This girl needed a whooping long ago and I'm sure never got one. In the olden days, it wasn't unheard of for mom or dad to take a naughty kid out back to the woodshed where they'd drop their pants for a good paddling.

I'm just sorry this mother waited this long. If I had a daughter like that, I'm sure I'd haul off and whack her too.

Most deserved I would say! Although I don't condone any violence, the way this girl treats her parents could push anyone to a breaking point. She is mouthly, unappreciative and so very disrespectful. Teen mom or not, she laid down to get knocked up and now she needs to grow up and take responsibilty for her actions and stop pushing her daughter off on her parents. As for her parents, stop coddling this brat and make her grow up. Either she takes responsibility or take the baby from her and throw her out on her ungreatful ass.

I feel sorry for sophia and her grandparents,hopefully farrah will be asked to move out and not be on the show any more, then cps can take sophia and give her to a good family

I don't know what took the mom so long I would have choked her a few episodes ago. She is an ungreatful little brat.

My sister was 18 when she got pregnant with my nephew, "Danny". She would party all night long, drink, smoke weed with baby Danny around to put cigarettes and weed in his mouth. Soiled diapers, dirty clothes. My parents were the ones buying food, clothes, diapers, bath supplies for Danny. One day, my mom had enough of CPS doing nothing. She and I went over to my sister's apartment and took Danny. My sister didn't even blink an eye. My parents went to court, gained rights for custody. Danny is now almost 15 years old. He is an incredible kid. He calls my parents "Mom and Dad", he calls me "Near-Sis" He does well in school, has tons of friends, a good kid. Thank god my parents decided to take Danny in and raise him even though they already had an 19 year old idiot daughter and a 15 year old daughter (me) who was almost an adult.

I do not condone violence but at the same time I dont feel bad. She is a spoiled brat with a bad attitude, Just because you have a baby does not make you an adult. I see the show and she is always talking down to her parents and cursing at them. Again, I don't feel bad for her. I would have gotten smacked across my face if I disrespected my parents in any way.

This isnt the first time the mother has gotten violent...She slapped Farrah in the car once.

I've never watched the show; doesn't seem interesting. But what, they have kids and get paid a lot of money to go on television? That seems like a reward for stupid behavior...

P.S. Lisa, while I agree with your views, how is it obvious that you do not support violence? ("Obviously, I do not support physical abuse...)

I have often had the urge to choke Farrah when I watch Teen Mom. She is beyond horrible. Her parents need to file for custody of that child and toss Farrah out.
