Revamped Heidi Montag Swears She's 'Not Addicted'

Heidi Montag rolled out her new, um, look last week in a big PEOPLE cover story, where she talked about getting 10 procedures done in one day. We're talkin' brow lifts, fat injections, ear-pinnings and even a chin reduction. Since then, the 'Hills' starlet has been accused of being a plastic surgery addict. To that, Montag says phooey.

The reality actress-singer appeared on 'Good Morning America' on Tuesday to defend her honor. And her face. "I would say that none of those people know me at all," Montag said of her critics. "And that's just a judgment. I'm not addicted."

Montag said she has had only two days of surgeries in the last few years. First in 2007, and then again this past November. Being Heidi, she just happens to cram a whole bunch into each day.

"If you're addicted to something, you have to do it all the time, not once every couple years, if even," she said.

She underwent rhinoplasty and breast augmentation surgery in 2007.

In her cover story with PEOPLE, Montag said she was "beyond obsessed" with having work done on herself.

She doesn't think she looks like a Barbie doll, as many fans have charged. "I think I just look like a different, improved version of myself," she said.

And although she's being hammered for inadvertently sending the message to young fans that plastic surgery is acceptable, she blames her line of work.

"I'm also in a different industry than they are," she said. "You know, I'm in a limelight. I'm in a different industry. And I have to do things that are going to make me happy at the end of the day. I'm living in my skin, and I look in the mirror and it's my career, my life."

Last week, PopEater teamed up with Access Hollywood to get your opinion on Heidi's surgical endeavors. We asked what your thoughts were, 87 percent believe that it's "totally reckless, but not surprising from her. Another desperate cry for attention."

The other 13 percent thought, "If it makes her feel better, good for her!"

She may look good now, but what about in 10 years? Besides that, she now looks 10 years older than she really is. And, can't the poor girl even smile anymore??? She was gorgeous before, I just don't understand...

She might not be addicted to plastic surgery, but she sure as hell had a whole lot. It's a matter of reporting she's addicted or she had a whole lot, not much difference there, so her defending herself in that way doesn't change much.

OMG you are right! I was wondering who she looks like now and it is that woman on Atlanta Housewives. Next she will be wearing wigs also!

During her interview the only thing on her face that moved was her mouth....no expressions. This is really sad if this was the look she was going for.

Heidi, I think you look fantastic! The chin reduction is GENIUS. Please, hon, just don't go overboard...you are stunning! You are too young to remember Michael Jackson "back in the day", but I am his contemporary...he got some work done in the '80's and looked great....then he went way overboard...ended up looking like a freak...I would hate to see that happen to you. I applaud you AND your surgeon, seriously! If only I knew who your surgeon was...it is marvelous work, and pay no attention to the haters. Enjoy your beautiful self, I mean it! Peace. :)

Heidi says don't judge, Well stop putting yourself in these positions and on the cover of a magazine, Oh yes and a reality. How in the heck do you expect people not to judge, when you get in a magazine and say you had ten things done, and want more? Next time have a brain put in.

I guess she didn't realize that the doctor would be sucking out brain matter and injecting it into her boobs because she gets more stupid an insipid everytime she opens her mouth. She looks like a blow-up doll for some loser schmuck to 'play' with.

So very sad; where are this young woman's parents? Does anyone other than that goofy Spencer have any influence over her? I think doctors who agree to do surgeries like these to 23 year old women or men, should have their license taken away!

Well, if she no longer wanted to look like a young woman, she got her money's worth. Even though there are no lines or wrinkles, something about her look now is hard. She is in denial and yes, she will continue to have surgery as long as doctors are allowed to do this crazy stuff.
