Why We Don't Buy the Brangelina Split Rumors

The rumor that the world's most famous couple -- Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie -- has called it quits has spread like wildfire after British tabloid News of The World revealed the details of an alleged legal separation agreement between Brangelina (even through they are not legally married!). However, for several big reasons, Naughty But Nice and PopEater don't buy it. After the jump, we explain how you'll know when Brad and Angie are really over.

In the News of the World report, the British tabloid claims the duo have signed a $300+ million separation agreement, breaking down the financial and familial details of a post-Brangelina world.

Angelina Jolie has iron-fisted control when it comes to her public image and how or when news gets into the public eye. A potential split isn't the sort of story she would let slip out in a (shady) British tabloid in sensational style. Oh no, that's just not Angie's style.

"Angie knows better than anyone in Hollywood that a picture is worth a thousand words. She announced she was dating Brad when picture emerged of them together on a very secluded beach," a senior editor of a major entertainment outlet told me. Hmmm, I wonder who tipped that photographer off?

Then there was the time pictures leaked of Angie, Brad and son Maddox playing family together in the garden of a private estate in England. And let's not forget every child Angelina has had have all been announced in gorgeous, glossy pictures on the cover of People magazine.

Now, PEOPLE -- Brangelina's publication of choice -- is reporting that the rumors are "totally false" and that "everything is fine" between the couple, citing a source inside the couple's camp. Also, a TMZ source declares the split report as "B.S."

Ian Halperin, author of the book 'Brangelina,' details Jolie's media finessing in his book. He told PopEater in December: "I don't think she's evil, but she's definitely manipulative and she's definitely scheming. She's an amazing deflector of criticism in the press. She knows how to do amazing spin doctoring." Halperin also predicted the supercouple would last no more than 15-18 months.

"I will not believe the couple has split until Angie stages a picture of her and the kids all alone stating in front of the Taj Mahal," a friend of the actress tells me. We're guessing that picture will be on the cover of People magazine -- not the shady News of The World.

Brad is alcoholic and he has aged so much. I think, like most men, he thought the sex would be there forever. Nope! And that goatee ages him, and to me he has always looked unclean. But, used to be easy on the eyes.

Plus Angelina Jolie is gay. Until she deals with that, she'll be miserable.

I was hoping they'd get out of the spotlight, and move to Iceland and make the children their number one priorty. They did somewhat, bu moving to France. But then there was Johnny Depp as a neighbor. Dope and drinking and flirting.

All I hope is that it won't be a big scandal of some kind when they do break up.

Brad will probably go back to Jennifer. She has been waiting. But, it will never be the same. He is so so old now.

You sound kind of out there. Making all sorts of accusations about people. Are you sure Brad is an alcoholic? Seems you know him very well. Angelina is gay you say. The same woman that has been in more than one love relationship with men? You sound so sure she will be unhappy. What did she tell you about it? Bless your heart, so full of judgment and venom. Try to find something to focus on that can foster a little goodness in your life.

I believe that Charles Osgood was reporting on the fact that the British tabloid CLAIMED they had broken up. I don't believe it either.

They should do media coverage on people in Hollywood who have relationships that actually DO last. Only then I would actually be surprised. As long as the kids have the same nannies raising them, it shouldn't have too much of an impact on them.

I have been waiting for the day when those two cheaters broke up. Doesn't anyone remember when Jen and Brad went on that vacation and were photographed arm and arm and kissing. The next day they announced they were splitting. So it wouldn't surprise me if that is what Brangelina is doing. I'm so tired of people ragging on Jennifer. She is single and can date whoever she wants and as often as she wants. If any of us had a chance to date some of the men she gets to date, we would too. Is she supposed to sit at home and watch tv? No! She is looking better than ever and Skeletor is looking worse and worse. For that matter so is Brad. UGH! If it is a rumor which I hope it is not, Skeletor probably started it to get more publicity. And why don't they adopt some poor American children that need homes? What would be wrong with that? Why not help the children here that need care and love?

Other than previous behavior on Angelina's part that gave rise to rumors of the girl being a few sandwiches short of a picnic, there was the adultery, about which they both lied repeatedly.

The instant-family children collecting and the dragging the children around like props or fashion accessories is NOT a healthy thing.

The photo ops of herself in the starring role of humanitarian saint are NOT a genuine calling if they and the information about all the money she donates, etc., are publicized IN DETAIL. If she sincerely wanted to help for the sake of helping, she would, and publicity would not be necessary.

There is nothing, I repeat, NOTHING these people can do without publicity. Think about it. They get publicity for things they never did or will never do because of the very tabloids this article is about. To hold the fact that the media reports every detail of their donations against them is ridiculous .

I do not feel Angelina & Brad are splitting up what so ever.
I do really feel that Angelina has a sickness of some sort.
I think people whom are famous can find themselves neglecting themselves due to realtionship issues,flexiable time periods that interlude with thier hectic lifespans,perplexed trying to act on a movie set from thier loved one,and last but never LEAST;the darn papparizi freakin following them around everywhere. No wonder tempers fly,etc...

Chill - If you look back , Jolie always made sure that the subject was changed whenever it was negative. As stated earlier, she controls how she looks to the media. Only time will tell. Also leave Jen alone, because if I were her, I would be dating whomever. Also, want to bet that Jolie put out the rumor that Jen didn't want to have kids too make Jen look like the bad one...Think about it, believers of anything.

I guess when the going gets rough, Brad gets going. I cant believe he can leave his beautiful little blond child and his twins, they are his. And also the adopted children. Not to mention his beautiful wife Angelina after all she has gone through to bear him those babies. He is a selfish, unreliable, self-centered, untrustworthy jerk in my opinion. How can any woman trust him, if he cheated on his first wife and now is deserting his 2nd wife and his own children and his adopted children. He reminds me of that other jerk that left his 8 kids and wife.

They did not break up. They love their kids and life together. He idolizes her in a way he never could have with Aniston or any other woman. After Angie, there would be nothing but second-rate women for Brad. She is the love of his life and they both love their children. Sorry Angie-haters...if this break-up ever occurs (never) it will not be Brad who decides it. He is crazy for her.

I do not know if they are splitting or have split already. But I do know the Brad Pitts' appearance has taken a dive. He was a handsome man and outstanding actor. Now I see him in pictures with that semi-gray goatee. It looks like excessive fatherhood has taken it told.
Also, if Angelina wants press attention, she will get it when all those children get to the teenage and young adult stages. When the biological children have an attitude against the adopted children. Lets the adopted children know these are MY parents, not yours. Believe, I know it happened to me.

Yeah the Natioal Enquirer lied when they said John Edwards had a mistress and a baby, right? The tabloids lied when they said Nick and Jessica were going to break up. They lied when they said Ben and JLo were going to split up. Whenever the rumor mill starts then you know it is going to happen. Every magazine is saying it is over...are they all wrong?

One look at Brad and you can tell he is not happy. He let his wienner get him in trouble and now look, in 5 yrs he looks like a tired old man and a collection of kids to deal with.

She's not so hot now is she Brad?
