Jeff Bridges and Sandra Bullock's chances for Academy Award gold were advanced with their trophies at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Saturday night. And with its win for best ensemble performance, 'Inglourious Basterds' is now a frontrunner -- along with 'Avatar' of course -- to win big at the Academy Awards. For Bridges of 'Crazy Heart,' Bullock of 'The Blind Side,' there's reason to suspect the Oscar ceremony will be a happy rerun of the SAG Awards and last Sunday's Golden Globes.

How is it that Inglourious Basterds wins? Pitt is the worst actor around.

Did you see Inglorious Basterds????????????? Christoph Waltz is the best actor on the planet right now. Forget Brad Pitt. Who even remembers him in this movie?
One of the best movies of the year, I liked it and Brad Pitt has some great lines.
I'm so happy that Sandra Bullock is finally receiving her just rewards. I've loved her movies for years. She seems like a beautiful and caring person.

Lifetime Award for Betty White was a big hit.
I have witnessed the wit and talent of Betty White over serveral decades. She still have the ability to bring down the house with her carming ways.
Tonight, Betty made an acceptance as only she could. Humor and Class mixed with talent. Her wit was “right on”. A rare treasure and shear pleasure indeed.
Thanks for the memories.
