Justin Long Not Holding Grudge for Drew's Award Speech Snub

Just hours after clumsily forgetting to thank boyfriend Justin Long (for the second time!) during her SAG acceptance speech Saturday night, Drew Barrymore was seen braving the rain for some sandwiches and perhaps some damage control.

People reports that the couple was spotted at an Italian deli in Santa Monica, California on Sunday afternoon. "Drew was hugging people while she and Justin were at the counter ordering their sandwiches," said an onlooker.

The long-time couple chatted with the manager and some fans before heading back out into the rain.

Barrymore's nerves also got the best of her accepting a Golden Globe for her role in the TV movie 'Grey Gardens,' when she failed to give Long a nod. She admitted that she "screwed up so hard" during that speech, but it doesn't look like Justin is taking it personally.

I truly adore Drew.. she doesn't take herself so seriously and it shows in her personality. I'm sure it's great to remember to thank your closets friends and family in a moment like winning an award but it's not necessary. They should already know this. And when one steps up on a stage, the nerves take over and you always forget to say things. So why are people making such a big deal about this?? I'm sure Justin doesn't need to hear a public 'thank you' from her.

It wouldn't be the first time that a winner just thanked professional people and not partners in their personal lives, and I bet that few of them were as nervous as she obviously was. Good for him for not making a mountain out of a molehill.

Drew Barrymore's acceptance speeches at recent award presentations indicated a large dosage of stupidity-induced glibberish and silliness. She should not be considered on the same level as that of her famous relatives.

There was nothing wrong with the way Drew accepted her award. It was unrehearsed and from her heart. Whether you liked her speech or not has nothing to do with her talent. Her grandfather and other passed on relatives would have been proud of her performance in Grey Gardens. She's a true Barrymore, talented to the core and adorable, besides.
