Ben Affleck's Advice to Wife for Future Q&A's? Shhh

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are one of Hollywood's most private couples, so when the 'Alias' alum let loose some intimate details of their relationship in a recent interview, the actor was none too pleased. In a Parade magazine cover story, Garner revealed that her husband wooed her with "very persuasive" e-mails and that he was a "sexy and kind" partner.

"I do write e-mails to my wife, that is true," Affleck told Access Hollywood over the weekend. "Sounds like the kind of thing that my wife was looking for something to say in the interview ... and that's what she same up with."

"So, thanks for that, because now here I am, doing another interview and then they ask me about that," he said. "So, thank you honey."

Speaking to Parade, Garner outlined how she and Affleck keep their romance alive, while juggling two kids.

"You steal the time. You steal a date, you steal a kiss, you steal a whisper. You sit next to each other on the couch with computers on your laps. After the kids are asleep you...well, you know," she told Parade. "Whatever it is. You slip away for a night, which we've only just now done for the first time. Of course, I call home while we're away. Ben would be surprised if I didn't."

Affleck spoke to Access Hollywood while at Sundance to promote his new movie, 'The Company Men.'

Ben, What a jerk! You should be happy your wife is happy and has nice things to say about you. In this day and time,happy marriages are rare. Sounds as if she is a lot happier than you are. You should count your blessing you have a happy wife and a beautiful child that kove you so much. It is encouraging to hear the little things you do to show your love. My husband and I do the same things. Its what keeps a marriage alive.Making time to show you love someone enough to do those little things is important. Jennifer, maybe you should start cheching Ben's cell phone.

Ben! What a jerk you are. You should be happy your wife is happy enough about your marriage to share the little things that make it special. In this day and time marriages are so fragile that people like Jennifer are rare. Its the little things that you guys do that make it work. You have a wonderful loving wife and a beautiful child. You should count your blessings. She seems a lot happier than you are. Jennifer, maybe you should check his cell phone records. Tiger may not be the only "squeaky clean" pretender.

I think he's being silly-what she saaid was in no way graphic....is he a prude? I hope they teach their kids how babies are REALLY made rather than saying things like the stork brings them....yikes! He's supposed to be a sexy leading man, but now he just seems like a silly little man...and maybe a little controlling, which is creepy.

I think it's REALLY funny that you were criticizing the lack of proofreading skills and then made your own error with "and article".

I think what Ben Affleck was saying is that she "leaked" enough to the press corps that that's what they ask him about rather than the project(s) he's doing. Didn't sound remotely controlling to me!

Loose lips sink ships. Ben is right. She should shut her mouth. Too many celebrities never shut up..they want to tell you every last intimate detail of their lives. After a while the public knows more about them (ofcourse half the stuff they tell us are lies anyway tailored to make all the sheep out there think of them in a certain way) then they do themselves!
Personal bizness is and should be exactly that. Its none of the stupid public's business.

Watching Ben on Real Time with Bill Maher, he came across as someone who arrogantly speaks first and thinks afterward.

Jennifer Garner is a class act and everything she said in her interview was positive. I've noticed in pictures, her mouth has been getting tighter and tighter. Life's too short. Women don't need a man rebuking them in front of the entire country. However, kids do better with two parents so Ben - straighten up and fly right and maybe you will deserve one of the best women on the planet. She's a lady, and right now you proved you are no gentleman.

I agree-this is so typical of childish men. working marriages should present a positive and unified front. makes me wonder where my own relationship is leading...but at least i'm not married!

I think what Jennifer said was sweet. It shows how much she loves her husband and kids. But after all that Bennifer stuff with Jo Lo and how it got out of hand. I cannot blame for not wanting any of his business out there. They are a cute couple.

Ben hit it on the nail. Now leave them alone. My mother always said, "when you don't have something to say, don't talk". One of those pearls. Women are like that though, we are so social, we always think that the conversation doesn't have to end. We are just that way. Love us anyway.

I beleive it is "If you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all." She was doing an interview for heaven sake. Should she just sit there...how interesting. These people are celebrities I think what he said was worse than what she said. Maybe he should practice what he preaches...hm

What they don't tell us may make all the difference. When he said it did he have one of those million dollar Ben Affleck smiles & was it said with mock sarcasm? On a more serious note he may have real concerns that now someone will make it their life's mission to hack their email accts to get copies of their love notes to each other. By being so private they've done well not to draw that kind of unwanted attention so far.

i agree that he inflection could make a big difference...but its still sorta silly and childish....he gets all flustered just talking about love notes, what if someone asked him about SEX!
