Jane Lynch of 'Glee' to Marry Girlfriend in May

Jane Lynch let slip following the Golden Globes last week that she and her partner, Dr. Lara Embry, are tying the knot. The 'Glee' star, who won a Screen Actors Guild award over the weekend, told the New York Times that she and her girlfriend are planning a May wedding.

The news was slipped ever-so gently into the Times' Carpetbagger blog: "Jane Lynch, who saw her Fox show 'Glee' win a Golden Globe and who told us she was marrying her partner, Lara, in May, summed up the night's victories for Fox: 'It's good to be on the winning team.'"

Lynch, 49, star of 'Best In Show' and 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin,' met Embry at a National Center for Lesbian Rights event in May 2009. Lynch was there to introduce 'The L Word' creator Ilene Chaiken, and Embry to receive an award from the organization.

Embry is a psychologist who last year gained fame during a custody battle with a former partner over their two children. The Florida courts decided that the two should continue shared custody.

What?! No mention of Jane's brilliant portrayal as Dr Reed's mother on Criminal Minds.....Want to see more of her in that part.
By the way, I stopped watching Glee the first season, second show. It was wayyyy too boring & just couldn't capture my attention.

I agree w/Samantha one hundred percent. Lynch essentially plays the same character in almost everything she does...tell me if Sue isn't the same character as the one she played in "Role Models". But as Dr. Reid's mom in "Criminal Minds", she really showed her versatility. She did an excellent job...it wasn't overkill nor was it too understated. I've tried to watch "Glee", but, much to the chagrin of my musical theatre loving daughter, I can't stand it!

I too remember her as Dr. Reed's mother on Criminal Minds. And, her multi-faceted role on Glee, (did you see the episode that revealed her sister?), proves that she is a talented wide-ranged actress who speaks beautifully and humorously. I wish them years of happiness.

Hmmmmm....Carpet-muncher plays a cheerleading coach on the show...that gives her plenty of crotch shots and shower scenes with young flesh....I'd be wanting out of my contract on that show if I were a young actress....my daughter would never want to be in that position!!

I have it on good authority that your daughter has already been in that position. And she likes it.

And so I guess that means that when you are around teenage boys (assuming you are female and straight) you would do the same? Checkin' out the crotch shots? Look for a little bulge here and there. Maybe try to bed one of those 16 years olds?
