Jane Lynch of 'Glee' to Marry Girlfriend in May

Jane Lynch let slip following the Golden Globes last week that she and her partner, Dr. Lara Embry, are tying the knot. The 'Glee' star, who won a Screen Actors Guild award over the weekend, told the New York Times that she and her girlfriend are planning a May wedding.

The news was slipped ever-so gently into the Times' Carpetbagger blog: "Jane Lynch, who saw her Fox show 'Glee' win a Golden Globe and who told us she was marrying her partner, Lara, in May, summed up the night's victories for Fox: 'It's good to be on the winning team.'"

Lynch, 49, star of 'Best In Show' and 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin,' met Embry at a National Center for Lesbian Rights event in May 2009. Lynch was there to introduce 'The L Word' creator Ilene Chaiken, and Embry to receive an award from the organization.

Embry is a psychologist who last year gained fame during a custody battle with a former partner over their two children. The Florida courts decided that the two should continue shared custody.

please no more lesbians on television - Im so tired of switching the tv channel so my 5 year old daughter doesnt have to watch them - thats not a role model i want her to be watching - life should go back to the 50s where peoples sex life was not talked about - in todays world people think its cool to be a lesbian well its not in my world -

John - I don't see Jane or anybody else discussing their sex lives. Certainly you can probably make some assumptions just as you could about any couple planning on getting married. I think the real problem today is with people like you who are obsessed with the sex lives of OTHER people.

It's disgusting how so many of these ingrates actually think gays marrying will somehow screw up the "sanctity" of straight marriage, or their own marriages/lives. Live and let live, people!
