Nancy Grace Wants Wrongful Death Lawsuit to Be Off Camera

Talk-show host Nancy Grace doesn't want her deposition in a central Florida wrongful death lawsuit videotaped. Her attorney wants a federal judge to prohibit videotaping of Grace during a deposition Thursday or prohibit the release of the deposition if it is videotaped.

Her attorneys say it's necessary to protect Grace from embarrassment.

She's a host of HLN, formerly CNN Headline News.

Grace is being sued by Melinda Duckett's family. They blame her for inflicting emotional distress on the 21-year-old Florida mother during an appearance on her talk show.

Duckett was on Grace's show in 2006 after her son Trenton disappeared. Grace grilled the woman, accusing her of hiding something. Duckett shot and killed herself the day the taped interview was scheduled to air.

Nancy Grace defended herself on GMA; let her defend herself - on video - during the deposition, and let that too be aired. You can't have it both ways; gathering the spotlight when it serves you, providing a forum for your point of view, and then, dimming it just when it begins to show another side, perhaps, a bit unfavorable to the personality you present. The fact is, Nancy had no problem dishing it out, now she wants to dodge it. How fair is that? You can ask the tough questions, but dare not take them on, publicly, via a process that you often expouse yourself. If you live in a glass house - as fragile as that might be - once you begin to throw stones at someone else, they could very well return the favor. So, either learn not to throw stones so callously or expect that you have no sympathy from others when they began to ricochet.

Eliminate the phone call Nancy Grace made to Melinda Duckett at her home during a distraught event, and Melinda may well be at home now with Trenton. Criminal prosecution against Grace needs to take place if there is any justice in this case at all. Experts on this case have all said the same. Nancy Grace is a true to life criminal, and she should be held accountable for her criminal actions against a real victim.

Melinda killed herself because Nancy was getting to the bottom of her story> she had lied to the police, got rid of her son's toys, she clearly was not expecting him back. I think the judge should allow it to be videotaped. She wasn't thinking about her feelings that night she was questioning her; she just wanted to break her down and get the story.

its really a terrible terrible shame we don't have a time machine so so we can send her back in time when Vlad Tepes, also referred to as Vlad Dracul, the model for the film character of Dracula, he ruled over the then kingdom of Wallachia, and he used specially brutal tactics against his internal and external opponents. His specialty was "impaling" his victims on long wooden poles. I'd love to see graceless nancy impaled for what she is. As you can see I find her thoroughly despicable and hate her guts.

I like nancy Grace. She prods her guests into giving straight answers. I feel sorry for the people she has violated on her show. But most have deserved it and it could have helped law inforcement in tracking or gathering evidence. I hope she returns to a normal state of mind after each show. For her family's sake.

Nancy should be sued for scaring little children with her horrible face. She will do anything for ratings and now she is getting some attention. Man is that one ugly woman both inside and out.

Nancy grace is the total phony, her so called program and the other wack job there, jane velez mitchell, hey heres something interesting, you notice how so many of these wacked out serial killers are notorious for having "three names", like charles mills manson, theodore robert bundy and others.
so whenever I see someone using a long three name moniker there, well if the shoe fits, but nancy grace is just a cheap opportunist. She seems very animated but its all a dog act, a scripted or semi-scripted dog act. the guests are all predictable and what they'll say is predictable. Its a dog act, graceless nancy might as well be a "stepford program host", she's like a robot, a zombie.
and a phony too. With CNN's ratings being as close to non-existant as you can almost get, someone must be feeding graceless nancy "talking points" on her crackberry there every morning or just before, to make sure she has time to learn her designated lines.
Theres one case she's been harping on,and she has constantly been talking about a dead baby in a diaper bag in a dumpster.
Dude this is BS, its legal nonsense, unproveable, what are ya gonna do,have every goofball with a badge continiously search every trash dumpster in a huge sqaure mile area based on TV talking points.
