Sure, it's an honor just to be nominated, but the Fray's Isaac Slade isn't going to lie -- the Denver-based band wants to take home a Grammy or two at this year's ceremony. The quartet is nominated for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals alongside the Black Eyed Peas, Bon Jovi and MGMT, as well as for Best Pop Vocal Album for its second major label release, 'The Fray.' Its competition in that category comes from the Black Eyed Peas, Colbie Caillat, Kelly Clarkson and Pink.
"Last time we were nominated for a couple, we said that we didn't care whether we won or not, being nominated was an honor -- and it is -- but we definitely want to win this time around," Slade tells Popeater. "It sucks going all the way to L.A. and sitting there for four hours and finding out that you lose. But it is an honor and some of the people that we're up against are awesome. I really like Pink, and MGMT is great, so it's going to be good."
The Grammy Awards air on Jan. 31 at 8PM ET on CBS.
