Brooke Mueller Out of the Hospital, Into Rehab?

Just a day after being released from a Los Angeles hospital after falling ill from pneumonia, Brooke Mueller has checked herself into rehab.

Mueller, who currently has a restraining order against husband Charlie Sheen after an alleged domestic violence incident, entered a treatment facility for drug and alcohol addiction in North Carolina, ETonline.com reports.

However, Mueller's lawyer claims she's just recovering from pneumonia, not in rehab, according to TMZ. But her stepfather says she is in a treatment center. "She is recognizing that she needs help and she can't do it on her own," he told RadarOnline.com.

According to PEOPLE, time in rehab may be just what the doctor ordered. "The doctors in ICU told Brooke that if she wants to get better she has to reduce stress and get a lot of R&R in the coming weeks. Her mom thinks she needs some time away from Charlie and Los Angeles to get her head together," a source said.

Mueller and Sheen are expected back in a Colorado court on Feb. 8 to change the protective order, which keeps the 'Two and a Half Men' star from seeing his wife -- although he had been allowed to visit her in the hospital.

On Christmas Day, the actor was arrested in Aspen after reportedly hitting Mueller. He was booked for second degree assault charges.

"Do not be mislead by appearance. Appearance and reality can be as different as night and day. It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion," Sheen's rep said at the time.

The couple have twin boys together. And Sheen has two daughters from his marriage to Denise Richards.

Well,well, I am SO glad there a so many people that know Charlie Sheen and Brooke so well and personally. The way most of you talk, you DO know them personally because you know every little thing against them. It has been known, by the public, that Brook is an alcoholic and needs Rehab to get her off alcohol. Yes, Charlie has also been in the spotlight a lot of times, but I guess you all know what a horrible person, or you wouldn't say the things about him, huh? I just wonder how all of you met and learned so much of their private lives? Sorry, I do not believe you know anything for SURE!

So many finger pointers that seem to think that they are experts..they think that they "KNOW" the truth and also that they can judge facial expressions. WOW they must be rich with all that talent.

As an old lady, I look at the the history of good old Charlie and it is not good at all. How is it possible that one man could pick out so many weak crazy women?? If they are crazy, I think that they were made that way by Charlie boy. It is too bad, what is worse what will the kids turn out like? The Estevez genes can't be all that good. UMMM you smart people do know that the real family last name is Estevez do you not???

It is well known that Brooke had an alcohol problem long before she even met Charlie. And Denise Richards had many psycological problems . Seems as if Charlie attracts needy women . They said on the news tonight that Charlie will be taking care of the children while Brooke is in rehab . So they must trust him enough to allow that to happen .

There is definitely something wrong with Charlie Sheen. He is dangerous. I am happy Brooke Mueller is getting help for her drug and/or alcohol problem. She must be strong, take it from one day to the next, building up days clean/sober and eventually the strength to be who she was before meeting Charlie Sheen. Her children must not fall into his hands.
It's obvious his lifestyle (which he is suppose to be in control of) has made him dangerous and his fame is keeping him from getting the help he needs.

Actions speak louder than words. First of all she has no choice until they are divorced to allow the father to care for the children.
Once she takes care of herself (which will be as fast as possible because her children are around a dangerous person) she will divorce him and gain full custody of those children.
The news is also part of the media which has their strings pulled to benefit the success of actors which creates a larger amount of revenue for everyone involved.
The fact is Charlie Sheen is going to either end up dead unexpectedly or kill someone someday. Maybe both.

We all make mistakes in relationships and Brooke is doing the right thing by going into rehab. I hope she and Charlie can work things out. Everyone deserves to be in a loving relationship.

Trash begets trash.... Charlie is trash, chose Denise aka trash and now Brooke, trash. I like his show, but that doesn't mean he's a decent person. Denise Richards is a hasbeen before she was a wannabe. Alcoholics and abusive individual look for partners that are like them. This is a case in point

I don't agree with you. There are way too many females that think that they can save and change damaged males and so they team up with them and are only hurt themselves by the damaged person that they think that they can help. It is a trait in a lot of females.

I say if she is in treatment more power to her. Its not easy to admitt you have a problem let alone do something about it. Maybe now he will get the help he needs.

Brooke Mueller is a sleaseball and everyone in Aspen knows it. And Charlie Sheen is a piece of work in his own right too. Aspen would be better off without both of them.

I think that is a great idea for anyone having a problem, to go seek help.. However, it does not let Charlie off the hook for abuse. So, now we are making her look like the bad guy..You can never justify hitting your wife. More so that she may have been sick. What a sad soul for a husband you are Charlie..Go into anger management, it sounds like you need it. You appear to have a very mean streak in your face..Sort of evil looking..I have no respect for you, and I have no mercy on you..What a bully, hitting a women.
