Following the death of his 16-year-old son Jett last year, John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston turned to the Church of Scientology for guidance during those tough times, the actor said. While promoting his new film 'From Paris With Love,' Travolta said that he and Preston "work hard every day with our church on healing.""Kelly and I and Ella have all been working very hard and they've been helping us," Travolta said about how his family -- including daughter Ella -- are coping with the tragic loss.
On January 2 of 2009, Jett Travolta died suddenly while at the family's vacation home in the Bahamas. Jett suffered a seizure in the bathroom of the house, which caused him to fall and hit his head.
Travolta went on to say that "once you get yourself stable, then you're able to reach out again," referring to his return to acting following Jett's death. "I think this whole year every day we've been working on stabilizing ourselves and it's been successful so far."

OMG John, what is your problem?? Your son may have died due to your belief in scientology!!! You denied his illness, said he wasnt autistic for years because scientology didnt believe in autism!!! How could you stay loyal to a cult who didnt want you to protect your son and treat him for his actual illness and made you deny what aflicted him?? I lost all respect for you and maybe if you treated him for his autism from when it first occured, he might still be alive!!! Good believe in Scientology, you and they are freaks.

I totally agree with you. But you know how people in cults are... loyal and brainwashed. I don't know how anyone with half a brain would join a religion formed by a science fiction writer. But oh well. They probably pander to celebrities need for no moral absolute while gladly accepting their money.
I've never lost a child, but I've lost a parent. It is tough, but you have to move on, it's been a year. It just seems like if scientology really helped or brought any sort of peace, he would be less conflicted by now.
SUE: I THINK PEOPLE NEVER WANT TO SAY MY SON/DAUGHTER HAS AUTISM YOU ALWAYS PRAY THEY WILL WAKE IN THE MORNING PERFECT,LIKE A COLD THEY HAVE JUST GOTTEN OVER. WE NEVER TREAT OUR GIRL AS AUTISTIC, TO US SHE IS JUST RIGHT, WE FOLLOW ALL THE RULES AS I AM SURE THE TRAVOLTA'S DID, NO ONE WANTS TO ADVERTISE THE PAIN THEY ARE GOING THROUGH, LEAVE THE TRAVOLTA'S ALONE THEY HAVE ENOUGH PAIN TO DEAL WITH. I THINK I WOULD DIE IF THAT HAPPENED TO OUR GIRL. THEY DID ALL THEY COULD, SAY A PRAYER FOR THEM. I WILL.
You are an ignorant idiot! may god bless you.
you shouldn't judge people for their beliefs. im sure you have made desicions in your life that others dissagree with, he did what he felt was right for bring up his kid. no one is perfect and if u read the artical it wasn't autism or seziers that killed jett, it was him hitting his head.
God still loves them.
Sue, you are delusional if you think you know anything about this man or his family! shut your big fat mouth and talk about what you do know in life! You're sick!
Sue, let me clarify one thing for you, AUTISM is not an illness.
HOW DARE YOU...TAKE A LOOK IN YOUR OWN MIRROR YOU ROTTEN PERSON!!!
Sue, I agree with you 100%, if John and his wife had admitted to themselves and the public their son had a medical problem in the first place, then they would have been able to treat him and probably help others that had it by admitting it, but NOooo, they hire nanny's to be with him all the time, Nanny's that were on drugs themselves!! This religious crap they believe in is just that..CRAP..I always admired John until this happened..Instead of going to meetings and listening to a bunch of air heads, maybe he needs some medication himself, NOT MEETINGS!!
sue i agree with you. how do you agree with a disease??? you either have it or not. you dont get to say it doesnt exist if it affects you.
Scientology is NOT a religion!!!!
Reply
Kathy, you are absolutely correct. Scientology, like the Jehovah's Witlesses is a cult, not a religion.
haha first off scientology is a religion and every religion is a cult, it is all bull, nobody knows how life came to, and anyone that claims that they know and tells you how to live your life is nothing but a cult leader, its only a matter of time before they have you drink the koolaid or rape you
Religions are cults. There is no difference between Scientology and Christianity.
This man is more confused than a sick puppy.

HI John,
I am sorry for the loss of your son. I worked with Autistic children for 9 years before going into Alternative Ed. I know that they can have a seizure at any given moment, regardless if they are medicated or not. I have seen the horrible affects/effects of medicating an austistic child. Your son really looked like a happy young man according to the photos. I pray that all is well with you and your family. It must be very difficult to lose a son. It would surley tear me apart. I have always loved you as an actor and love all of your movies. I was a 70's child. I believe in Energetics. I am a Holistic Health Practitioner and I have read lots of Scientology. Peace, love and happiness to you and your family. God Bless You.

So very true. Scientology has nothing to do with God. It is a man made "religion". Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Unless you have lost a child, you have no idea the pain and grief that a family goes through. Unless you have worn those shoes, keep your mouths shut. I do not believe in scientology, but if it helps the Travoltas, God Bless um.
